    Description

Looking for an Au Pair for our East London family. We are a family of 4, with children aged 2 and 5. I'm working in New York from some of the year and my partner needs help with the children.

We are looking for someone to help us around the house. Dad's (Cian's) business will have him based more in New York for the next 6 months, so an extra pair of hands to support with school drop offs/ pick ups / cooking / some housework (laundry/tidying), and helping out with the kids around their school/pre-school routines. Kids finish school between 3.30-5.30pm so some help in the afternoons with the kids until we finish work at 5.30pm is ideal Mon-Thurs. We will often pick them up so it is more play (some baking/creative play when back) and helping prepare their tea.

Cian has siblings nearby our house who are pretty hands-on with helping, and Rebecca's parents live one hour away - plus lots of local community.

    Average day during term times*:
7:30-9am help prepare Ephi's packed lunch and be around to support morning (help get kids out of the door, quick tidy of room/ put away of breakfast)
1 hour in day (flexible) - support with kids' laundry and /or cooking up a healthy meal
3.30/5.30pm-6pm - prepare and give the kids their tea and have some creative play time
7:00 - 8pm some help with bedtimes, bath and book.

We are looking for someone who likes and is confident with children and happy helping around the house . Ideally, someone who can be around 4-6pm Mon-Thurs. Then a couple of evenings babysitting a week, and then a few hours of support with kids on a Friday and Saturday, so we can have a little time to go for a run, swim or do a yoga class.

There can be flexibility to work out a routine that works for everyone

We are a family with two young boys (2 and 5yrs) living in a house in the lovely neighbourhood of Clapton, Hackney, in London. We are looking for someone to be part of our happy home and help us with cooking healthy family meals, help around the house with some laundry etc, and some babysitting and creative playtime with our two fun and joyful boys.

*Given the kids, we'd prefer someone staying ideally six months + so there isn't too much change * we are open to a student or similar who wants a stable base and can balance support & studies

Mum (Rebecca) is a documentary film-maker and podcast/radio producer. Dad (Cian) is a designer with a clothes label. We love adventure, getting out in nature when we can, cooking and sharing food - and are active and creative.

We have a lovely townhouse with a garden, next to several parks and Hackney Marshes. The house is Victorian, built in 1896 and full of charm and character. You would have your own large bedroom on the top floor with an en-suite shower and loo. We do a weekly shop so happy to order whatever you prefer for breakfast and lunch, and then we can eat together in the evenings, depending plans. We eat a varied mix of things, but like to be healthy generally.

You will have plenty of flexible time to explore the local area and all of the amazing things that London has to offer. Open to students or if you have a part-time or flexible job. We are happy to share our local knowledge and support you to have a wonderful time in the city. Clapton is a particularly vibey Hackney neighbourhood with a real community feel. You have everything you could need in an easy walk - we are next to Hackney Downs, Millfields Park and Hackney Marshes with tennis courts, cafes, and very easy access to all of the cool and fun areas like Stoke Newington and Chatsworth Road, which are on our doorstep. You can get into central London easily via e-bikes, bus or tube - and there is so much to see, from art, culture, theatre, music, nightlife, and museums.
