  Description

  Welcome to our rural project in the village of Damieni. jud. Mures. We have a big property consisting of two houses, a kitchen and a lot of land and a garden.
  
  We are looking for volunteers to help us enhance the place in different ways like gardening, home decoration, cleaning, and most importantly, creativity. We are looking for artists that would be looking for a place to come and explore their art. We have a lot of empty walls that can be transformed into mesmerising mural paintings. We have a lot of empty space that can be filled with sculptures. We have a lot of possibility for DIY projects like creating new chandeliers, painting furniture, painting doors and wooden shacks. We are willing to give a lot of freedom to the artist.
  
  Also, we have a lot of down to earth work like dusting the cob webs, keeping the place clean, mopping the floors, cooking our community meals, watering the vegetable garden.
  
  We also have a bigger project in mind. At the back we have a lot of land that we would like to transform into a wellness space for community members: a small spa and a silent room.
  
  We would love to form a community here where you could see this place as your own home and you can enjoy the scenic beauty, the green hills, the abundant fruit trees, the village life, the Salt Lakes in Sovata, which is 20 minutes away, and you could enjoy the life in a community and on a rural property.
  
  You can learn about gardening, exploring your creative ideas, sharing community meals. We are also very excited about cultural interchange. I am Romanian and my husband is Indian.
  
  We would love to host people from all over the world that can learn about the Romanian village life and customs and we can learn from them about the beautiful places they come from, their customs, their innovative ideas .
  
  We offer them a clean place to stay with all utilities and we can teach them from our experience. I am an artist and a mural painter. I can share my expertise. My husband being from India can share about yoga and meditation and about the fascinating Indian culture and you can taste his Indian cuisine.
  
  We are hoping to find the human beings that we resonate with and have a soulful connection where all of us can learn together and build a community together.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I can share my mural painting skills and art in general skills as well as D IY skills. I can share Yoga lessons, teach cooking and gardening.
  
  My husband can teach Indian cooking, meditation and yoga.
  
  You can learn Romanian and Hindi. You can walk on the hills in the surrounding villages. You can go to the river ,to the Salt Lake in Sovata and the towns and cities close by Sighisoara or Targu Mures

  We are looking for artists. DIY projects, cleaning, gardening, cooking and community work. The work will be done together along ourselves and there will be a lot of exchange of ideas and skills.

  Accommodation

  We will provide clean rooms and bathrooms.
  
  The rooms will be shared with other volunteers, or you might get a room by yourself.
  
  We will organise communal meals together. We will take turns to cook community meals. All ingredients will be provided. That way the culinary experience can become a cultural interchange where people from different places can cook their native food, including ourselves the hosts.

  In order to arrive here, you will have to reach Sovata or Targu Mures and from there take a bus that drops you in front of our gate.
