Description
Hello! My name is Anna, and for the past four years, I've been restoring a rural house with my husband, Roger, and our six-year-old son, Riu. The property covers over 5 hectares and is located between Olot and Girona. The town has a popular cycling route that connects the two cities. We offer a separate space for volunteers (a mobile home) with a private bathroom and kitchen, next to the family home. We're eager to share this project with volunteers and learn from each other!
Hola! Me llamo Anna y des de hace 4 años estoy restaurando una casa rural junto a mi marido Roger i nuestro hijo de 6 años, Riu. La finca tiene mas de 5 hectareas, se encuentra entre Olot i Girona, y en el pueblo hay una ruta ciclista muy conocida que une estas dos ciudades. Ofrecemos un espacio independiente para los voluntarios (mobilhome) con baño y cocina privados, al lado de la casa familiar. Tenemos muchas ganas de compartir este proyecto con voluntari@s y poder aprender entre todos!

With this exchange, I hope to practice English or other languages and share knowledge about gardening, DIY, and other topics. The town has shops and bars, as well as many hiking and climbing trails, and paragliding. There's a small theater where they show films. There's also a good connection to the beautiful city of Girona, known especially by cyclists from around the world.
Con este intercambio espero practicar el inglés o otos idiomas y compartir conocimientos sobre jardineria, DIY y otros aspectos. En el pueblo hay establecimientos y bares, tambien muchas rutas de senderismo o escalada y se practica el parapente. Hay un pequeño teatro donde proyectan peliculas. Tambien hay una buena conexión con la ciudad de Girona, preciosa y conocida sobre todo por ciclistas de todo el mundo.
Help
We have very different tasks: animal care (right now there's just one cat, one dog, and chickens, but we plan to expand our range), and there are also tasks in forestry or preparing the family garden. We can discuss needs and interests to tailor our exchange and ensure we're comfortable with it. We'll do the tasks together.
Tenemos trabajos muy distintos: cuidado de los animales (ahora mismo solo hay un gato, un perro i gallinas, pero tenemos intención de tener mas variedad), también hay trabajos de gestión forestal o preparación del huerto familiar. Podemos hablar de las necesidades e intereses para adaptar nuestro intercambio y garantizar que estemos cómodos con ello. Las tareas las realizaremos juntos.

Accommodation
Very close to the family home is a restored mobile home ready for volunteers. It has two small bedrooms, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, a kitchen, and a small living room. It has air conditioning and a heater for the winter months. The property runs on solar panels and rainwater, is self-sufficient, and has beautiful mountain views. With a kitchen, mealtimes can be flexible, and we can accommodate each guest's preferences (eating with the family or not, sharing a meal but dining in their own space, etc.). You can have your own space and privacy while living with our family.
Muy cerca de la casa familiar hay una mobilhome restaurada y lista para los voluntarios. Tiene dos pequeñas habitaciones, baño con wc seco y ducha, cocina y un pequeño salón. Cuenta con aire condicionado y una estufa para los meses de invierno. La finca funciona con placas solares y agua de lluvia, és autosuficiente, y tiene unas preciosas vistas al monte. Al contar con cocina el tema de las comidas puede ser flexible y podemos ajustarnos a las preferencias de cada huesped ( comer con la familia o no, compartir la comida pero cenar cada uno en su espacio...). Puedes tener tu espacio y intimidad mientras convives con nuestra familia.
What else ...
It's our first time on Workaway, and we have a lot to learn, but we're also eager to get started! We're a friendly family and we love to laugh, so it'll be easy to get along! ;)
Es nuestra primera vez en Workaway, tenemos mucho que aprender pero tambien muchas ganas de empezar! Somos una familia amable y nos encanta reir, sera facil ponernos de acuerdo! ;)
