  Description

  My partner Ben and I fell in love with this old farmhouse last year and have been living here since July 2023. We only have a few neighbors and there is hardly any traffic here.
  We are currently renovating the house and at the same time transforming the outside area into a diverse garden.
  We love our little stream and the small pond we have created.
  Our three sheep, two chickens and two ducks live in small stone houses in the grounds, our dog and our cat live in the house.
  We have sealed the large barn as a first step and use it as a workshop, storage sheds and party room, with plans for an event room and guest house in the long term.
  All the work is also running a little slower because our son was born in November 2023.

  Mein Partner Ben und ich haben uns letztes Jahr in diesen alten Bauernhof verliebt und leben seit Juli 2023 hier. Wir haben nur wenig Nachbarn und es gibt hier kaum Verkehr.
  Wir sind dabei das Haus natürlich zu renovieren und gleichzeitig das Außengelände in einen diversen Garten zu verwandeln.
  Wir liebenunseren kleinen Bachlauf und den kleinen Teich, den wir angelegt haben.
  Unsere drei Schafe, zwei Hühner und zwei Enten leben in kleinen Steinhäuschen im Gelände, unserer Hündin und unser Kater bei uns im Haus.
  Die große Scheune haben wir im ersten Schritt abgedichtet und nutzen sie als Werkstatt, Lagerställe und Partyraum, in langer Sicht ist hier ein Veranstaltungsraum und ein Gästehaus geplant.
  Die ganze Arbeit läuft auch daher etwas langsamer, weil unser Sohn im November 2023 zur Welt kam.

  Mon partenaire Ben et moi sommes tombés amoureux de cette ancienne ferme l'année dernière et nous y vivons depuis juillet 2023. Nous avons peu de voisins et il y a très peu de circulation.
  Nous sommes en train de rénover la maison, bien sûr, et en même temps de transformer le terrain extérieur en un jardin divers.
  Nous adorons notre petit ruisseau et le petit étang que nous avons aménagé.
  Nos trois moutons, deux poules et deux canards vivent dans des petites maisons en pierre sur le terrain, notre chienne et notre chat vivent avec nous dans la maison.
  Dans un premier temps, nous avons étanchéifié la grande grange et l'utilisons comme atelier, écurie de stockage et salle de fête ; à long terme, nous prévoyons d'y aménager une salle de spectacle et une maison d'hôtes.
  Tout ce travail est aussi un peu ralenti parce que notre fils est né en novembre 2023.

  We have a large circle of friends from various European countries. Our guests can expect regular parties with this group.
  In summer, we attend concerts once a week at a friend's farm.
  Ben is a member of the Commité de Fete in our village, so there are always events in the village that we help with.
  We are avid flea market goers, often treasure hunting every weekend!
  We also love long walks.
  You are welcome to share all this with us.

  Wir haben einen großen Freundeskreis aus verschieden Ländern Europas. Unsere Gäste erwarten regelmäßige Feste mit dieser Gruppe.
  Im Sommer besuchen wir einmal die Woche Konzerte auf einer befreundeten Farm.
  Ben ist Mitglied im Commité de Fete in unserem Ort, daher gibt es immer wieder mal Veranstaltungen im Dorf bei denen wir helfen.
  Wir sind begeisterte Flohmarkt Besucher, oft sind wir jedes Wochenende auf Schatzsuche!
  Wir lieben auch lange Spaziergänge.
  All das kann gerne mit uns geteilt werden.

  Nous avons un grand groupe d'amis de différents pays d'Europe. Nos hôtes attendent des fêtes régulières avec ce groupe.
  En été, nous assistons une fois par semaine à des concerts dans une ferme amie.
  Ben est membre du comité de fête de notre village, c'est pourquoi il y a toujours des événements dans le village auxquels nous participons.
  Nous adorons les marchés aux puces, nous sommes souvent à la chasse au trésor chaque week-end !
  Nous aimons aussi les longues promenades.
  Tout cela peut être partagé avec plaisir avec nous.

  Help

  We are looking for open, positive people who enjoy working with animals, love gardening, enjoy creating, like children and celebrate good food.
  There are hedges to cut, fences to build, trees and plants to plant, wooden shelters to build, but also walls to plaster, shelves to build, or to help with the daily children's activities and making food.
  We are also building a "children's garden", with swings, sandpit, slide, etc...
  We are also going to build a natural sewage filter and straighten the terrain.
  I speak German, English, French and Italian, Ben speaks French and is learning English.

  Wir suchen offene, positive Menschen, die gerne mit Tieren arbeiten, Gartenarbeit lieben, Freude am Gestalten haben, Kinder mögen und gutes Essen zelebrieren.
  Es gibt Hecken zu schneiden, Zäune zu bauen, Bäume und Pflanzen zu pflanzen, Holzunterstand zu bauen, aber auch Wände verputzen, Regale zu bauen, oder beim täglichen Kinder beschäftigen und Essen machen zu helfen.
  Auch sind wir dabei einen "Kinder-Garten" zu bauen, mit Schaukel, Sandkasten, Rutsche, etc...
  Wir werden auch ein natürlichen Abwasser-Filter anlegen und das Gelände begradigen.
  Ich spreche deutsch, englisch, französisch und italienisch, Ben spricht französisch und lernt fleißig englisch.

  Nous recherchons des personnes ouvertes et positives qui aiment travailler avec les animaux, le jardinage, la création, les enfants et la bonne cuisine.
  Il y a des haies à tailler, des clôtures à construire, des arbres et des plantes à planter, des abris en bois à construire, mais aussi des murs à plâtrer, des étagères à construire, ou encore de l'aide pour occuper les enfants et préparer les repas au quotidien.
  Nous sommes également en train de construire un "jardin pour enfants", avec balançoire, bac à sable, toboggan, etc...
  Nous allons également créer un filtre naturel pour les eaux usées et rectifier le terrain.
  Je parle allemand, anglais, français et italien, Ben parle français et apprend l'anglais avec assiduité.

  Accommodation

  You sleep in our caravan with a 1.20 meter bed. We have dry toilets and an outside bathroom, but if the weather is really bad you can also use our bathroom in the house.
  We eat together 3 times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, whereby Ben works part-time and is not always present at all meals.
  Lucia is the cook in the house, but is very happy when the workaway wants to join in the cooking.

  Du schläft bei uns in unserem Caravan mit einem 1,20 meter Bett. Wir haben Trockentoiletten und ein Außenbad, wenn das Wetter super schlecht ist kannst du aber auch unser Bad im Haus benutzen.
  Wir essen 3 Mal am Tag zusammen, Frühstück, Mittag und Abendessen, wobei Ben halbtags arbeitet und nicht immer bei allen Mahlzeiten anwesend ist.
  Lucia ist die Köchin im Haus, freut sich aber sehr, wenn der Workaway sich am kochen beteiligen will.

  Tu dors chez nous dans notre caravane avec un lit de 1,20 mètre. Nous avons des toilettes sèches et une salle de bain extérieure, mais si le temps est super mauvais, tu peux aussi utiliser notre salle de bain à l'intérieur.
  Nous mangeons ensemble trois fois par jour, le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner, mais Ben travaille à mi-temps et n'est pas toujours présent à tous les repas.
  Lucia est la cuisinière de la maison, mais elle est très heureuse quand le Workaway veut participer à la cuisine.

  Hunde müssen an andere Tiere gewohnt sein, da Schafe, Hühner, Katze und Ente frei im Gelände unterwegs sind! Dogs must be used to other animals, as sheep, chickens, cats and ducks roam freely in the grounds! Les chiens doivent être habitués aux autres animaux, car les moutons, les poules, les chats et les canards se promènent librement sur le terrain.
