Description
We are seeking you as summer employment from the beginning of May until mid September. WE will train you in our commercial kitchen, bar, gardens & construction. So if you feel you have the aptitude to join our team please reach out to us. And we thank you!!!
We are a Husband (Doug) and Wife(Mitch) that work cooperatively for over 20 yrs, in the industry. We will teach you lots about our beautiful Yukon and help you have a wonderful time. We are well travelled having visited many European Country's and all of North, Central & South America, we speak 3 languages. Doug is a master builder & plumber, Mitch is the Kitchen Pro. We are located on a 5 Acres Waterfront property, which has been called a "Gem In The Rough". We have tourist from all over the world who have come back time and time again, Our food is amazing, location superior and our ambiance is awesome. We are super accommodating to all our guests and help.

We are a Mom & Pop Operation, we have hosted many travelers to the Yukon. We are very warm , friendly & welcoming hosts. We treat our helpers and guests like family, we eat together, go fishing, paddle the water's, and hang out. When we work, we work hard . But we have a lot of fun times as well. The days are long in the Yukon, its the land of the midnight sun. We are remotely located , approximately 1.5 hrs. from the nearest store in Whitehorse. We do weekly runs to town. Tagish is territory of the Carcross/Tagish first Nations. Yukon is home to an exciting range of cultural, heritage & outdoor experiences. Tagish has the largest senior population in the Yukon, many locals frequent Six Mile River Resort. Many of the colorful 5% live in Tagish. There will be lots of stories exchanged, community events, local music at Six Mile, different local foods, moose, caribou & Lake trout . Experience the land of the midnight sun, beautiful scenery & wild life at your door step. Papa's (Doug) is always building or creating. Mama's (Mitch) Always in the kitchen, We love sharing our trades and traditions with our guests. We would like you to commit for the full summer from May until mid September.

Seeking an individual (s) or a couple who can do many task including but not limited to cooking in a commercial kitchen or how have skills and are interested in learning, customer service, some greenhouse gardening, cleaning cabins & wash areas, interested in learning how to build decks or repair, yard work lots more All round help in every aspect of the resort.

Accommodation
Staff share living quarters in a 3 bedroom mobile unit with shared bathrooms ( other washrooms available) full kitchen & living room.
We have comfortable accommodations for you to stay, 3 bedrooms Mobile home to share with your mates. You will have your own kitchen to prepare your meals, however you are always welcome to share meals with us. Due to the nature of our business we may not always eat at traditional meal times. You will earn hourly wages for your help, and you will have time off to enjoy the area. You may work a minimum of 5 hrs,X 5 days , but more if you want and if needed. Wages from $18 to $20 an hr.
What else ...
We work and live on the property 7 days a week. we operate 3-4 month so its a busy season. However we are remotely located so our business comes in high and low volumes its hard to express. When you are not working you can hang around as long as there's plenty of seating for guests. You are always welcomed to have your meals with us or you can prepare you own meals in the greenhouse or in your Mobile home. We prefer you not have alcohol at the restaurant, smoking in designated areas.
