    Description

We are a family of four (Nicole, Kristoffer, Adam and Lucas) plus a small dog (Peggy). We live in the Andalusian town of Almuñécar, a lovely, traditional Spanish town by the Mediterranean Sea. Almuñécar is an old town that has existed since the pre-Roman times, full of cultural gems and in the heart of the "Costa Tropical", an area of Spain known for its sub-tropical climate and vegetation, at the base of the 4000m high mountains of Sierra Nevada. If you come in the winter you can ski or snowboard whilst still enjoying mild and sunny summer days. In the spring you can ski in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoons, and in the summer there are lots of water-sports to be tried and tested. There are also some amazing treks in the area, along the coast and inland in the Sierra Nevada national park.
We live in a 4 bedroom flat where you would occupy the spare room and have access to your own bathroom, about 20 mins walking-distance from the beach and 5 minutes from the centre of town.
As a family we're a busy bunch, in and out of the house all day, and frankly we find it difficult to keep up with the house-work, especially at the moment because the children are so young (1 and 4) and need a lot of attention. We love having people from different places come to our house and the children love it too. We´re quite laid back and sociable and we´ll do what we can to make you feel comfortable and welcome in our home, We need somebody who can cook and clean for us during the week while the adults are at work and the children at school.

We are a multilingual, multicultural family of Swedish, English, Spanish and Caribbean origins. All three languages are spoken at home interchangeably. Nicole is English/Caribbean brought up in Spain and Kristoffer is Swedish. Apart from being able to exchange cultural perspectives within our home, we live in a very culturally rich area of Spain with a super interesting history and natural history, and strong culture (involving a lot of food and wine!!).

    Help

Planning, doing shopping and cooking our meals and preparing breakfast the night before.
General cleaning - sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces/dusting, taking recycling out, cleaning the kitchen after cooking, doing laundry. It's important that you enjoy cooking and have some experience of cooking vegetarian food, and that you can adapt your cooking to a family with small (sometimes picky) children.
