  **Dear travelers, world explorers, and adventurers - Welcome to Isla Bonita**
  
  We are a German couple who realised our lifelong dream a few years ago in the quiet and relaxed north-west of La Palma. We live there in a beautiful old house in a dreamlike spot. Characterised by sun, wind and (sometimes a lot :-))) rain, the houses and the largely unspoilt property need a lot of love and care. We have numerous ideas for designing and beautifying our garden, but have realised that many things cannot be implemented as we would like without additional helping hands.
  
  We are looking for independent people with a positive attitude to life, a lot of life experience, good humour, uncomplicated, reflective and stable. People who want to work independently, are well organised and responsible and can organise their own free time.
  
  In general, we no longer accept volunteers without prior experience and feedback (after all, you look at the feedback when you choose a host, don't you?) When you write us, please tell us a bit about what you would like to do and what interested you about our offer.
  
  We prefer travellers for shorter stays (1 or 2 weeks) - possibly longer by arrangement on site. We offer accommodation for one person, not for couples.

  Wir sind ein deutsches Paar, das vor einigen Jahren seinen Lebenstraum im ruhigen und entspannten Nordwesten La Palmas verwirklicht hat. Wir bewohnen dort ein wunderschönes, altes Haus auf einem traumhaften Fleckchen Erde. Geprägt von Sonne, Wind und (manchmal viel :-))) Regen benötigen die Häuser und das zum größten Teil naturbelassene Grundstück viel Liebe und Fürsorge. Wir haben zahlreiche Ideen zur Gestaltung und Verschönerung unseres Gartens, haben aber festgestellt, dass sich Vieles ohne weitere helfende Hände nicht so umsetzen lässt, wie wir es gerne hätten.
  
  Wir wünschen uns unabhängige Leute mit einer positiven Lebenseinstellung, einer Menge Lebenserfahrung, guter Laune, unkompliziert, reflektiert und gefestigt. Menschen, die selbstständig, gut organisiert und eigenverantwortlich arbeiten wollen und ihre Freizeit selbst gestalten können.
  
  Im Allgemeinen akzeptieren wir keine Freiwilligen ohne vorherige Erfahrung und Feedback mehr (schließlich schaust du dir doch auch das Feedback an, wenn du einen Gastgeber auswählst, oder?). Wenn du uns schreibst, erzähle bitte ein wenig darüber, was du gerne tun würdest, welche Erfahrungen du bisher gemacht hast und was dich an unserem Angebot interessiert.
  
  Wir bevorzugen Reisende für kürzere Aufenthalte (1 oder 2 Wochen) - nach Absprache vor Ort eventuell auch länger. Wir bieten Unterkunft für eine Person, nicht für Paare.

  Please note that the work is sometimes strenuous and dirty and must also be done at higher temperatures or when it is raining.

  Bitte beachte, dass die Arbeit teilweise anstrengend und schmutzig ist und auch bei höheren Temperaturen oder wenn es regnet erledigt werden muss.

  Accommodation

  In exchange for your help, we offer you a room (upstairs) in our rustic wooden house, which is located near our house. On the ground floor, there is a small bathroom (shared) and a functional kitchen where you can prepare your meals. The kitchen is equipped with some basics, e.g. spices, coffee and tea. The purchase of all other food items and the preparation of meals are not included in our offer.
  
  Bed linen and towels, shower gel and other toiletries are provided. You can also watch DVDs, play the guitar, meditate and practise yoga.
  
  A cozy retreat with a small terrace and a meadow for relaxing and sunbathing - that you have most of the time all to yourself.
  
  
  
  Für deine Hilfe bieten wir dir ein Zimmer (die obere Etage) in unserem rustikalen Holzhaus, das sich in der Nähe unseres Wohnhauses befindet. Dort gibt es im Erdgeschoss ein kleines Bad (zur Mitbenutzung) sowie eine zweckmäßige Küche, in der du deine Mahlzeiten zubereiten kannst. Die Küche ist mit einigen Basics, z.B. Gewürzen, Kaffee und Tee ausgestattet. Der Einkauf aller weiteren Lebensmittel und die Zubereitung der Mahlzeiten sind nicht Bestandteil unseres Angebotes.
  
  Bettwäsche und Handtücher, Duschgel und andere Toilettenartikel sind vorhanden. Darüber hinaus kannst du DVDs schauen, Gitarre spielen, Meditieren und Yoga praktizieren.
  
  Ein gemütlicher Rückzugsort mit einer kleinen Terrasse und einer Wiese zum Entspannen und Sonnenbaden, den du die meiste Zeit ganz für dich allein hast.

  The north-west of La Palma is largely rugged, unspoilt and shaped by wind and weather. Bring your love for silence, solitude, time for yourself, rough terrain, which is sometimes steep, slippery, terraced and almost never straight. It is therefore important that you pack the right clothing, especially sturdy footwear. It is very rural here, quiet and tranquil.
  
  In the afternoons and weekends there is time for hiking, swimming, chilling out - whatever you like. You can go diving on La Palma, take boat trips, go biking and much more. The nearest bus stop is about a 15-minute walk from our house. From there you can easily get to the nearest (small) town of Puntagorda and also to other destinations on the island.   A small supermarket is also within walking distance, about 15-20 minutes away. In the village there is a small plaza with a nice café / restaurant.
  
  Plan your journey to Las Tricias (our home base) carefully. We will be happy to pick you up at the supermarket (SUMA) in town and drive you to the finca. It would be really nice if you could be at Las Tricias by 7 p.m. at the latest. Thanks a lot.

  Der Nordwesten La Palmas ist größtenteils rau, wildromantisch, naturbelassen, von Wind und Wetter geprägt. Bring Liebe mit für Stille, Einsamkeit, Zeit für dich selbst, unwegsames Gelände, manchmal steil abfallend, rutschig, terrassiert, fast nie gerade. Daher ist es wichtig, dass du die richtige Kleidung, vor allem aber stabiles Schuhwerk im Gepäck hast. Es ist sehr ländlich hier, ruhig und beschaulich.
  
  An den Nachmittagen und Wochenenden ist Zeit zum Wandern, Schwimmen, Chillen - was immer du magst. Du kannst auf La Palma tauchen, Bootstouren unternehmen, biken und vieles mehr. Die nächste Bushaltestelle ist ca. 15 Gehminuten von unserem Haus entfernt. Von dort kommst du easy in die nächstgelegene (kleine) Stadt Puntagorda und auch weiter zu anderen Zielen auf der Insel.   Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist ebenfalls fußläufig in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Im Dorf ist eine kleine Plaza, auf der es ein schönes Cafe / Restaurant gibt.
  
  Plane deine Anreise nach Las Tricias (unsere home base) sorgfältig. Gern holen wir dich am Supermarkt (SUMA) im Ort ab und fahren zur Finca. Es wäre schön, wenn du spätestens um 19:00 Uhr in Las Tricias bist. Vielen Dank.
