  We are Wolf and Jaana, the owners of the place
  Since 1993, we have been organizing guided canoe tours in the Canadian Yukon Territory. In addition, we have a fleet of about 50 canoes and kayaks, which we rent to paddlers.
  The canoe rental usually also includes a transport of the paddlers to the entry point and picking them up at the end of the tour. These transfers can occasionally be up to 600 kilometers. For example, Picking up customers in Dawson City. We live on the 30-kilometer long Marsh Lake, 60 kilometers east of Whitehorse.

  While staying with us you will learn to deal with our customers and gain experience in tourism.
  Also you will get to know the Yukon Territory very well and you can learn a thing or two about surviving in nature.
  
  Während deinem Aufenthalt hier bei uns wirst du den Umgang mit unseren Kunden erlernen und Erfahrungen im Bereich des Tourismus sammeln.
  Zudem lernst du die Gegend des Yukons weiträumig kennen und kannst einiges über das Überleben in der Wildnis lernen.

  Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

  Help

  What we offer our helpers:
  16 CAD$ per hour
  Use of canoes, kayaks, motorboat, motorbike, mountain bike and camping equipment.
  Work accident insurance in Yukon (Yukon Workers Compensation)
  
  What we expect from our helpers:
  Individual journey to Whitehorse,
  Work permit for Canada (Work and Holiday Visa),
  International health insurance,
  Driving practice (also with trailer) and English skills.
  Help around the house (also crafts, painting, gardening etc.)
  Help in the canoeing business (transfer travels for canoe renters etc.)
  The working hours per week vary very much.Less in June and September, more in July and August.
  We can use a helper from the beginning of June until the end of September.
  Our high season is July and August.
  A driver's license must be issued here for passenger transport. We will bear the costs.

  Was wir von unseren Helfern erwarten :
  Eigenständige Anreise nach Whitehorse
  Arbeitsgenehmigung für Kanada (Work and Holiday Visa o.a.)
  Auslandskrankenversicherung
  Fahrpraxis (auch mit Anhänger) und Englischkenntnisse.
  Mithilfe in Haus und Hof (Auch Handwerksarbeiten, Malerarbeiten, Gartenarbeiten etc.)
  Mithilfe im Kanubusiness (Transferfahrten für Kanumieter. Herrichten der Mietausrüstung etc.)
  Die Arbeitsstunden pro Woche schwanken sehr. Weniger in Juni uns September, mehr in Juli und August.
  Wir können ab Anfang Juni bis Ende September einen Helfer gebrauchen.
  Unsere Hochsaison ist Juli und August.
  Vor Ort muss ein Führerschein zur Fahrgastbeförderung gemacht werden. Kosten übernehmen wir.

  Accommodation

  We have a comfortable travel trailer as accommodation for helpers on our property.
  We also have a truck camper for a second summer helper.
  Both have heat, power, wifi and running water.
  It is only a five minute walk to the lake shore.
  
  Wir haben zwei bequeme Wohnwagen als Unterkunft für Helfer.
  Beide mit Heizung, Strom, WELAN und fliessend Wasser
  Von unserem Grundstueck sind es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Seeufer.

  What else ...

  There is lots to do for an outdoor loving person. As already mentioned you will have access to most of our gear (Canoes, Camping Gear, Motorcycle, Mountain Bike etc.).
  The close Marsh Lake invites you to go for a paddle or some fishing and there’s great possibilites for some hiking as well.
  
  Für Outdoor-liebende Menschen gibt es hier viel zu tun. Wie bereits erwähnt wirst du unsere Ausrüstung gern benutzen dürfen (Kanus, Campingausrüstung, Motorrad, Mountain Bike etc.)
  Der Marsh Lake direkt vor der Tür lädt zum paddeln und angeln ein und es gibt viele gute Möglichkeiten zum wandern.
