We are a professional couple, grown children, with a home and off-the-grid cabin on 1-1/2 acres. The buildings were once part of a hotel in the 1920s/30s. The house and little cabin need help -- carpentry, painting, a gray water system, and solar for both the house and the off-the-grid cabin. During your stay, you would set up house in the little cabin, which has the relative comforts of home, but is off-the-grid living. Some nights we would have dinner with you; other nights you are welcome to explore the area and/or stay in the cabin and relax on your own.
Help in the house
We live in a beautiful area on the coast of Maine near Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park. We are also near the Good Life Center, founded by Helen and Scott Nearing, where presentations and lectures about issues on climate change and social justice are part of the curriculum.
We are looking for energetic and positive folks with carpentry, plumbing and/or gardening skills to help us. It is a plus if you have a meditation and/or yoga practice as a lifestyle choice.

Adorable oceanfront off-the-grid cabin. You have running water and some electricity powered from our home. A lovely king sized bed (two twins) with most amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin is steeped in history, like going back to the 1920s and 1930s!
We are close to Four Season Farm and Tinder Hearth Bakery, as well as Holbrook Island State Park -- absolutely gorgeous natural surroundings with hiking, walking and biking.
