Description
We are a family of four; Petter (31), Stina (30), our daughter 2 years old and our dog - a miniature poodle.
Petter is working as an engineer, Stina is working as a figure skating coach and is studying to be a psychologist. Our daughter is a happy little girl who loves to discover and play with new friends! Our dog is an old and calm dog, mostly resting and enyojing life.
We are a family who likes the good things in life; good food and company. We like to play games, cook food together, barbecue in our garden and be outside. We are easygoing and like to do fun things. We would love to get to know you and learn us about another culture.
We have not hosted a workawayer before but are familiar with workaway since one in our family have had workawayers for some years.

We live a 20 minute walk from the cente of Skellefteå in Västerbotten county in the northen part of Sweden. We would like you to feel like a friend visting us and we would love to show you the city and fun things to do around here.
Here are some things that you could do around Skellefteå:
- Experience the nature, pick berries and mushrooms in the autumn.
- Possible to loan equipment from us to hike.
- Skiing in the winter.
- Ice skating in some of Skellefteås outside icerinks and bring a warm cup of cocoa.
- Swim in nearby lake and experience swedish summer with the midnight sun.
- We have family in citys north of the artcic circle and you could visit there if you would like for a couple of days.
Help
We would like help with this:
- Help us enteratin our daughter when we are doing chores around the house. She likes to read books, paint, play with toys and be outside.
- Some days leave or pick up our daughter from preschool (a 10 minute walk).
- Walk our dog.
- Help with chores around the house, like cleaning and cooking.
- Shoveling snow in the winter or cut the grass in the summer.
The most important thing is that you are good with kids and we only welcome non-smokers.
What we think a typical day for you could be like for you:
- Wake up at 7 and start the day with helping us with our daughter with breakfast and taking her to preschool around 8/9.
- Take our dog for a short walk
- Almost every day household chores like for example laundry, folding laundry and dishwasher.
- Some days you can prepare dinner, vacuum clean, cut the grass or shovel snow.
- Around/before lunchtime you are done with work and can enjoy Skellefteå or just relax. We will come home from work usually around 16/17. After that we will have dinner together, and maybe do something fun like visit a frind of ours, see Skellefteå city, visit the nature or enjoy a board game together.
Or the day could look lite this:
- Free time until 15, walk our dog and after that pick up our daughter from preschool.
- When you come home you will serve her a snack and then play together.
- We come home and cook a meal while you play and entertain our daughter.
- Help with the dishes and clean the table after dinner.
- You can do some household chores while we put our daughter to bed.
- Around 19/20 you are done with work.
We are very flexible with the things you could help us with if you have any special skills like gardening, building projects, painting the house or something else :)

Accommodation
You will have your own room in our cozy cabin close to our house with a queen size bed (170 cm) and share bathrooms with us.
We live in a big beautiful house built 1860, with a big garden with apple trees and raspberry bushes. We have a big kitchen and a big living room and upstairs are our bedrooms.
We hope you would like to be as a part of our family with all that is included in terms of helping out after dinner like we do and feeling like home, free to eat whatever you would like and do whatever you would like in our home!

We live close to the town, only 10 minute by bicycle or bus or 20 minuter walk from the Skellefteå city center. Here you have lots of things to discover. You could use one of our bicycles or car when possible if your want to. If you want to know more about what to do in Skellefteå google "visit Skellefteå" and a good website about that will appear :)
