    Description

    We are a family farm, Raquel (31), João (32) and Teresa (2).
    We live and work on our 10h farm, in the hills of the Dão river near Mangualde, Viseu district.
    We do regenerative agriculture, permaculture and bio dinamics to grow our own food and for the reforestation of our land.
    Here you can find vegetable gardens, multi species orchards, a blueberry field, pastured raised pig and chicken tractors.
    Areas with native landscape and other areas where we are running a reforestation program.
    Our main goal is to built a human and natural permanent landscape to help regenerate the ecosystem around us.

    We will offer a educational approach on all our system, first hand sight of the unique systems we are building and developing. The opportunity to see in person some of our infrastructure in action. How regenerative agriculture can be done in mediterranean climate such as central Portugal, and how to adapt some of the aspects of permaculture and regenerative agriculture to this unique landscape.

    Help

    We need help on our daily farm chores: animal care and mobile pasture features, gardening, fruit picking, orchard maintenance, egg picking, food preserves (dry foods, food storage, packing). At our farm is always a lot of ongoing projects and chores in multiple areas.
    The volunteers are asked to help on our homesteading activities rather then commercial activities.

    We have a small caravan that can accomodate a couple and a small children. There a dry toilet, a small kitchen and outdoor shower with hot water. The caravan has a double bed + single bed. Bedding and towels are provided. The food is grown and harvested at the farm and we have seasonal fruit and veggies and daily eggs available for the volunteers.

    We are just some meters away from a beautiful lake where you can swim and hang out in nature. Some km from the mountain Serra da Estrela and 1 hour drive from the sea.

    We have very good 4G internet conection, we are very close to the nearest city and to Viseu, where you can find pretty much eveyrthing.

    You're welcome to come with your camper van, the dirt road that serves the farm is not in great shape but manages to get here most vehicules. We have very nice shaded spots around the farm
