Description
We are two active people of retirement age with out own smallholding and a few animals- 7 horses, 5 cows and a whole family of very affectionate and loving dogs. My husband takes care of the animals, and we produce their feed with the appropriate machinery. You will have the chance to learn how to use the diggers and tractors.
Many people often come to ride the horses. This is a place for animal lovers.
In the evening, we happily sit together in a lovely group and share wine and stories.
I have built a large garden so that my dogs have enough space to run. It is also beautifully designed and houses many different plants. I have acquired a great deal of expertise in the growing of trees, flowers and shrubs.
I also teach German to foreigners in a private school once or twice a week.
Love for nature and animals are our guidelines
Wir sind Zwei junggebliebene Personen im Rentenalter und hätten gerne Hilfe bei verschiedenen Arbeiten. Wir haben einen kleinen Bauernhof mit nur noch 7 Pferden, 5 Kühen, und einigen sehr braven und ruhigen Hunden. Mein Mann versorgt die Tiere allein und macht auch alles Futter mit entsprechender Technik.
Zu den Pferden kommen öfters Mädchen und Frauen, die reiten. Gerne sitzen wir dann in fröhlicher Runde zusammen.
Ich habe mir einen großen Garten aufgebaut damit meine Hunde genug Auslauf haben. Außerdem ist er sehr schön gestaltet und beherbergt viele verschiedene Pflanzen. Ich habe mir eine große Sachkenntnis angeeignet. Außerdem unterrichte ich in einer Privatschule Deutsch für Ausländer ein oder zweimal in der Woche. Die Liebe zur Natur und zu den Tieren sind unser Leitfaden.

We can have breakfast together, whichever we want. I cook lunch according to my wishes and needs. We drink coffee around 2 p.m. If necessary, we can also have dinner together.
We are not vegetarians, but we can also cook some vegetarian dishes.
I could offer lessons to improve the German language.
Wir können zusammen frühstücken, was gewünscht ist. Zu Mittag koche ich nach Wunsch und Bedarf. Gegen 14 Uhr trinken wir Kaffee. Nach Bedarf können wir auch zusammen Abendessen.
Wir sind keine Vegetarier, können aber auch einiges Vegetarisches kochen.
Zur Verbesserung der deutschen Sprache, könnte ich Unterricht anbieten.

Help
The farm is very quiet in the forest. You can relax well here. I could offer lessons to improve the German language.
There is always a lot to do with us. We therefore need help
- in the garden: watering flowers, planting shrubs and trees, mowing lawns, beds and laying paths
- with the animals: bring horses to the pasture, stable work, play with the dogs
- Repairs and minor construction work on the buildings
- Repairs to equipment and technology
- clean up and clean on the farm

Appropriate machinery is available, but you can also help by hand. Our special focus is on woodworking. Here, too, there is often lots to do, and we have a very well appointed woodworking shop.

Bei uns gibt es immer viel zu tun. Wir benötigen daher Hilfe

- bei den Tieren: Pferde auf die Weide bringen, Stallarbeit, mit den Hunden spielen
- Reparaturen und kleinere Baumaßnahmen an den Gebäuden
- Reparaturen an Geräten und Technik
- auf dem Hof aufräumen und säubern
- Im Aushalt aufräumen und saubermachen
- Holzbearbeitung zum Beispiel scheifen, Holz sortieren und stabeln

Accommodation
A large, expanded attic barn is available to visitors with cooking facilities for your own use in another building on the other side of the quadrangle. The toilet and shower are on the ground floor. Bed linen is provided. The washing machine can be used.
Den Besuchern steht ein großes ausgebautes Dachgeschoss in einer Scheune zur Verfügung. Die Kochmöglichkeit befindet sich in einem anderen Gebäude. Toilette und Dusche sind im Wohnhaus parterre. Bettwäsche ist vorhanden. Die Waschmaschine kann genutzt werden.
What else ...
Our farm is about 600m high by the forest. We are surrounded by some nice neighbors and lots of big trees. A pond also belongs to the yard. Unfortunately, shops can only be reached by car. The CSSR border is 3km away here. Here you can buy cigarettes, among other things. There are good hiking opportunities in the large forest area. The spa town of Bad Elster is approx. 10 km away
Unser Hof liegt am Wald ca. 600m hoch. Wir sind von einigen netten Nachbarn und vielen großen Bäumen umgeben. Auch ein Teich gehört zum Hof.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind leider nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die CSSR Grenze ist hier 3km entfernt. Hier kann man Zigaretten u.a. einkaufen. Im dem großer Waldgebiet gibt es gute Wandermöglichkeiten.
In ca. 10km Entfernung liegt der Kurort Bad Elster
