Description
Last minute workawayers welcome :-)
I am looking for a responsible and reliable person to help WITH ANIMAL CARE AND HOUSEKEEPING (mainly cleaning the house) and who CAN ALSO MANAGE THINGS ON HER/ HIS OWN when I am away. If you love animals and don't mind getting yourself dirty and are a good cleaner, you might be the person I am looking for :-)
I live in a little village 100 km south of Frankfurt in central Germany. I own a farm where I keep my animals who are all part of the family and not kept for financial purposes. Most of them were rescued and are therefore very dear to me.
I live in a village with family and friends around but have a full-time job and sometimes need to travel for business at the weekends.
I'm 45 but young at heart, easy-going and love to have people around. I am a college teacher of English and German, so I speak English fluently. All the aupairs I have had so far spoke English, so basically English is the "house language". But French is ok and I can manage stuff in Spanish, too.
I am very active and outgoing, like to go riding, running, travelling and going to concerts/ festivals.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I NEED TO HAVE SOMEBODY WHO CAN WORK ALONE WHEN I AM ON HOLIDAYS AND THAT EXPERIENCE WITH AT LEAST HORSES AND CATS IS ABSOULTELY NECESSARY. MINIMUM STAY 4 WEEKS!!
For more details about the animals, pls check below. If you feel you are the right person, please contact me:-)Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am a very talkative person and like to talk about culture, politics, education, history etc. So we can definitely profit from each other here. I usually take workawayers to place of interest in the area or they can explore Things on their own using Trains to go to cities (i.e. Mainz, Frankfurt, Koblenz..) or other touristy spots (Castles along the Rhine river).

Help
I have 2 horses, a donkey, 2 dogs, 15 cats, 2 goatS, 4 pigs, 2 rabbits, Chinchillas and chicken. Therefore you have to be an animal lover and must be experienced with animals (at least with horses and cats). This is absolutely essential to do this job! If you had worked in an animal shelter, it would be perfect.
The help required here is basically feeding the animals, cleaning stables, cat toilets etc.. and cleaning the house.
Despite giving the animals a perfect home, I would also like to live in a clean and tidy place myself:-)
So I would ask you to keep your room and bathroom clean and also keep the house clean when I am gone - THIS MEANS CLEANING EVERY DAY. It is usually not more than 3 hours of work / day.
You should be responsible and 100% reliable since I really have to depend on you when I am gone for a few days. I need to have somebody at home who I can trust and know I can leave in charge with everything. However, my parents and a good friend are also there to refer to if you need help or have a problem.
It would help if you had worked on a farm or at a vet's or an animal shelter before, so you'd know what to expect:-)
You should also be able to give medicine to the animals when they are ill or go to the vet with them. Days off are negotiable, it is usually one day per week (4 - 5 days/ month).
If you like horse riding, you can ride out but there is also a ring which is adjacent to the house.
