DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC WE MIGHT BE TAKING VOLUNTEERS.
If you are looking for a great time while on holiday then contact us about our work away experience. We run a 30 bed backpacker on the border of the Addo Elephant National Park. We prefer volunteers to stay at least a month and longer. We are looking for folk to help out in our backpackers. Part of your duties will include a reception work, interacting with guests, little cooking and bar work in the evenings.
Helping us with a bit of building, plumbing, woodwork etc.
Day duties is reception work, answering emails, checking housekeeping.
Always looking for someone with artistic flair.
We are in the process of setting up and starting a veggie garden here and would love help in that process as well.
Please note.
A lot of folks seem to think we are an elephant park and want to volunteer and work with the animals. We are not and we do not have any elephants.Types of help and learning opportunities

We do a bit of everything here. Daytime shift - reception work. Answering telephone and doing bookings. Your main job with be interacting and entertaining guests . Some days we are busy and some days we just laid back.
We would like to restart our veggie garden, so help there will be greatly appreciated. The garden supplies a restaurant and pub on the property.
If you are afraid of spiders and creepy crawlies, this is not the place for you.
If you are expecting five star accommodation, this is not the place for you.but if you are laid back and take things in your stride, can work without supervision, then we would love to have you.
Addo is a farming community, citrus being grown in the area and there are no huge clubs and bars. We have an family atmosphere at our backpackers as we are a family run backpackers.
Above all we love to laugh and have fun.
Meals are supplied but we have our main meal at night so breakfast and lunch you have to sort yourself out with cereals and sandwiches with the things that are supplied.
Cooking is shared on a rotational basis and we can cater for Veggies
We can only accept volunteers from the age of 21 yrs
Please note,
1) As we have had a number of folk that arrive and leave as soon as they have done one or two of the activities.
Our policy is, If you leave before the time, within 2 weeks of your arrival and do not stay the full month, you will be charged for all your accommodation, shuttles and activities you have done. +
