Description
My name is taki.
I am a child of the great spirit. .. We are located in the sacred valley of cusco below pitusiray and sawasiray.. I am growing mushrooms in the sacred valley of the Inkas organically. i also grow veggies .
i need help in the garden and with mushroom cultivation.
We do sweat lodge ceremonies as well. This mushroom farm is a new thing here in the valley we are focusing on trainig others to grow mushrooms, offer g workshops to andean villagers. We also grow oyster, shitake, reishi for medicine. we are doing rustic hutt produccion.we really need Spanish inglish people.
There are many tasks from gardening building, cooking, housekeeping, mushroom watering and harvesting. 6days per month we plant mushrooms. There is al ways maintenence with mushrooms watering, picking, selling, cleaning..
There is nothing high tech about the way we produce mushrooms except for sterile culture work we do in our Spawn Laboratory. Volunteers do assist in all aspects of substrate preparacion, planting , pasteurizing, housekeeping, mushroom delivery and sales. I dont usually have volunteers enter our laboratory . IT takes a minimum of 3 months , to learn the whole process.
Volunteers do not usually stay long enough to learn this high detail technology . Growing mushrooms is alot of hard work and daily maintenace, attention to detail , and repetitive work .
We only grow edible gourmet and medicinal mushrooms such as RIESHI , Shitake and Oyster mushrooms, . If you are seriously interested an a full apprenticeship position here at the farm and wish to replicate this in your country of origin please write me. This can take a minimum 6 month to 12 month comitment. You will leave here a mushroom maestro or maestra.
I hold a sweatlodge monthly . The lodge is based on the mexica tradition of mexico but is a bit mixed with the Andean Spirituality . We work with the 4 elements calling up our ancestors for help. We sing songs and purify and harmonize the body mmind and spirit in this sacred ceremony. I for those people i have a chance to get to know well may participate in other ceremonies.
I was born in kansascity , have lived in mexico for years, am a mexican citizen and now i am a peruvian citizen. . IM amazed with all the responses we get everyday ..
I hope to learn and share my experiences.
We can host people all year anytime. I am always needing some constant help here ..If you want to learn medicine songs in spanish and quechua this is a good place
At the moment , i'm interested im receiveing volunteers interested in mushroom apprentiship. 3- 6 month comitment..
Also 3 week minimum stay for other volunteers.
Our website needs serious help. .
We have created a flourishing mushroom marketing un recent years. We need help with the website. Its really weak. If we can make it good , i think we can sell more mushrooms locally but also export to lima, Perú.
It's been 3 years and still the website isnt working .
I need help for a week yo get it going
YOu should write if your interested in coming to help short term or longterm .
You must have a sleeping bagg to come stay here. To keep the dorm cleaner. We have some blankets . but very limited. If you use blankets you are required to hand wash them. You also must hand wash your own clothes. Also if you break kitchen appliances , dishes , other property you are required to replace or pay for repairs. We do not accepy young people under 22 years of age thatdo not have a degree . we have had problems with young people here on the farm that have no life experience . there are acceptions

I had noooo idea what I was getting into here. I feel like Kusi Wasi was a defibrillator for my soul. Amazing location in the Sacred Valley (which is wildly energetic place full of weirdos{positive connotation} and foreigners).
