Description
I have worked in Italy and Israel as HelpX and decided to try Workaway this time as it was recommended to me by my friends. I travelled the world for almost 2 years, went with the flow to explore of what this world has to offer while learning new skills and meeting like-minded people.

In the past I have competed my workaway on the Vancouver Island. I was involved with housekeeping, preparing breakfasts and dinners, looking after garden, general maintenance, I was even making curtains this time. I also lived off the grid for a period of 6 weeks in Yukon (Northern part of Canada) in very harsh conditions and extreme weather. The temperature dropped to - 30 at times. There was no running water, neither electricity and there was an outdoor toilet only. I learnt how to operate chainsaw, how to cut trees and split wood. I was taught how to start the fire from scratch, how to cook in the darkness, how to remove engine from the car and protect myself from wild animals. This was certainly a life changing experience for me. I have more appreciation for the hot shower and most importantly warm roof under my head. I am not afraid of hard work, neither have my hands dirty :)

I also helped on a small organic farm in the beautiful mountains in California, looked after chicken and goats, harvested the gardens, got involved in general maintenance around the house and the nearby surroundings, cooked and cleaned too. Everyday brought new challenges, we were invited to explore our talents and skills and take any projects we were keen to explore further. I was working at the ecolodge in Panama, as a receptionist and a helper in the kitchen. In Costa Rica I was helper of the main teachers in the kindergarten. The children were from age of 4 months to 5 years old. We were teaching them to speak English but also how to interact with other children and to enhance all the essential listening and verbal skills. This was an amazing path of understanding of how these little people communicate of what they need in order to progress and to feel loved. This was an eye opening experience for me, especially when you work with 30 children at once.

In Peru I was involved in work with hostel, guests, tours and cooking too. I also work on a mushroom farm at the moment, building garden beds and chicken fences. I help with maintaining the place, cooking and site building.

I am originally Polish, 40
years old, lived and worked in the UK for over 20 years. I've graduated from the University of Brighton by completing International Travel Management degree. I worked in the education department. I am a qualified yoga teacher, reiki facilitator and sports massage therapist. I have recently completed my TEFL qualifications to teach English as a foreign language.

I love to learn the local customs, meeting new people, learning new skills and improve myself as a person. I'm a hard worker, always enthusiastic about new challenges and skills that I could potentially learn and develop. I have various hobbies, some of them include: travelling, yoga, cycling, running, singing, dancing, writing travel blogs, attending motivational talks, learning new languages, cooking and lastly reading literature regarding the power of mind, NLP, spirituality and meditation books.

It's just insanely crazy to think that my 3 week voluntary work is over. The time flew by, I'm rather confused 🤣 It's been wonderful. Areco de San Antonio (province of Buenos Aires) is gorgeous. I said it before but will say once again 'YOU GUYS ROCK'. You inspired me with your hard work, with the dream to create a space for people to reconnect with nature using original materials true to the old abondoned barn that stood once here. Your precision and eye for detail leaves me special. The barn is not there anymore but a little paradise however you need to get there first to experience it firsthand. My words are not sufficient enough in this instance I'm afraid!

For that reason work didn't feel like work. I could sense how much love you put into your project so I added some extra. Just because I felt safe, appreciated and trusted to accomplish my daily duties and more. In overall I was responsible for the general maintenance of property, anything that needed to be done inside or outside, garden, guests coming for the long weekends, preparing breakfasts, cooking at times and customer care.

I had space to explore and go wild with my cooking. You always supplied me with excellent quality food and any other ingredients I needed. Plus I had the freedom to use all the vegetables from the garden and the herbs. Pure heaven!!! Let's don't forget daily yoga and meditation 🙏😍 The communication was smooth and easy. M. spoilt me with his cooking, Italian cook you know 😁 Your food was delicious by the way, thank you!

The place and the surroundings were magical. If you want to escape crazy crowds, WiFi then this is a dream come true. Not for everyone though. If you after partying, need constant social interaction this may not work for you. Plus 'the paradise' changes at night. You are faced with different part of the SURROUNDINGS, more darkness, more sounds that may be unfamiliar at first but then you get used to it. It's just new, that's all.

My dear friends, thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity, to be a part of your household. You inspired me. I relaxed, faced my fears and came to many mindblowing conclusions about myself and my life in general. This was a wonderful end of my worldwide travelling. Now it's time to go Buenos Aires first and Poland!

My role was to communicate with you in English but we ended up speaking Spanish most of the time. Nevertheless we had so much to talk about so that was the only way to communicate sufficiently and effectively. No regrets though. We talked for hours. Sometimes my tongue was refusing to speak, so I knew I needed some time off 😂 Nothing personal.

YOU ARE A GREAT CHEF. I was super spoiled by you, introduced to an Argentinian way of living, culinary adventures and of course invited to the asado with your family. Which is a must in Argentina of course! You are kind, super funny actually and with the big heart. I'm sure life will gift you with things and people you desire. It's all to do with inner work, perseverance and kindness. But please no more wishes for E. T. lady, you know what I mean 😂

I cannot omit your gorgeous cat, black cat in fact always with his tongue out. Even though I'm a dog lover, I FALLEN IN LOVE WITH GATTITO. He is a special friend with incredible energy. He wouldn't leave my side, jumping on my lap, purring away like knew me forever. Jumping into my bed, trying to get into a room by scratching the door or simply waiting by the staircase when I felt sad to give me some purring cat love. I've never seen anything like it. We had some special bond ❤️😻 And his tongue, I mean you cannot feel sad in his PRESENCE OR WITHOUT A GIGGLE 🤣👅 WOW!

You are super talented musician as well. You play drums and trumpet. Wow! Since I sing and love music as well, we had a great understanding of the powerful influence of the sounds! We definitely experienced some rather unusual stuff together, pretty hard to be described in words. Or the time when I talked to you about bineural beats, playing for 30 seconds to then hear the same sounds from the outside. We both went out to be 100 percent sure as it seemed to be impossible to be happening at the same time. Well it did. The song ended and we never heard anything anymore. Even though I was there for 2 weeks. What a synchronicity!!!!??? 👀🤔

I met some of your wonderful friends, with big hearts. I also saw the final football match happening at the Central. It's a must in Argentina!!! Whaaat!!! The energy was just mindblowing, everyone was singing their hearts out. I GOT HIGH JUST FROM THE PEOPLE'S ENERGY. I certainly never experienced anything like it. I wish I could see the whole match, but even 10 minutes were priceless to me. SOMETHING I WILL CHERISH FOREVER ⚽

Plus Rosario is gorgeous too. It's a well balanced space with city busyness and natural spots 👌🏙️
