Some people were born to be a doctor. Others were born to be an actor. Maybe we were born to be traveller.
** Sorry we haven't replied much recently! Marie moved to Hamburg and since she's the one who organized our workaway stuff, no one really got time for you. You can always message and try, we read every email and get back to you eventually! **
We are a family of 5 but it's pretty rare that everyone of us is at home at the same time :-D
There is my Mom Ilka. She is self-emplyed with a catering company and always very busy. She is the most warm-hearted women ever and she will always make sure that you feel comfortable.
My dad, Frank, is working for a council and supports my mom as much as he can. He'll be home more often than my mom and likes to have some company, when he's home from work. You don't have to give him company though :-D Only if you want to :-)
My brothers are 18 and 21. Luis (18) is living in Mainz and will be home only in the holidays. Malvin just left Germany. He's now roadtrippin with his Van and guitar through Europe. We, and not even himself, don't know when he'll be back :D.
And then there's me. I'm Marie, 24 years old and just travelled through New Zealand, Canada and Portugal. I'm back home for a bit and just wanna give something back I experienced in New Zealand. I'll open our house for travellers, making people feeling they're having a home far away from home.
I'm moving back to Hamburg City soon and even though you'll mostly stay with my parents, you're welcome to spend some nights on my couch. Also I'll be at my parents place quiet regularly.
We're located in Tornesch, which is 20 min outside of Hamburg. Because we're living a busy but enjoyable lifestyle, someone's always driving to Hamburg a few times during the week. And if not, there's good train connection as well. You're always allowed to take a bike and go for a ride! To be honest, Tornesch is pretty quite but if you wanna escape a little bit from the city trouble you'll really enjoy it! We have nice forests and cycle tracks surrounding us.

This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We can share our big travel stories, you can learn to prepare food for events or just rest a few days to escape the big city troubles. I can teach you English and German and not rarely there are food leftovers from events :-))
We have a huge house and garden. The garden can become a little bit neglected and we'd love someone who is just enjoying being outside in the fresh air and fixing the mess.
There'll be some smaller tasks in the household as well like vacuuming or cleaning the kitchen.
If you're a biulder or just good working with hands on, there'll be always something to do.
Just tell us, who you are, what you like and can do and we'll find something to fit you in :-)
I also want to improve my Spanish, so if you can teach me a little bit, that would be great!
It depends who of us *️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️children*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ is at home but we'll have at least one spare room with a double bed in it. You can also pitch your tent in our garden. We probably can provide to a tent, mattress and sleeping bag.
We'll also provide food. If we're busy and don't have time to cook we'll only provide the ingredients. It would be nice anyway, if you can cook sometimes for us, so our long day can end earlier :-))
When it fits with our plans we can pick you up in Hamburg, but if we're busy you have to take the train from Hamburg to Tornesch. We'll try everything to pick you up at the train station in Tornesch then.
I'd love to take you out with my friends and show you Hamburg!! We'll have heaps of fun :-)
