I stayed with Tom for two weeks during June/ July 2018 at the start of the season and absolutely loved it. There is spacious staff house a two minute walk from the business which Tom and his wife Penny keep well stocked with delicious ingredients. The work/ life balance was good with plenty of time to explore Tiverton and the rest of Long Island. I was lucky enough to get out on a couple of whale watching trips which were INCREDIBLE! I would have happily worked double the hours to experience that. This was our first workaway and it was such a great experience! First of all, Tiverton is super pretty and you get to be by the ocean everyday, go fishing, hanging out at the lighthouse and most likely go on a whale watching trip. Seriously, just knowing the whales are around is awesome and seeing one is magical. Tom is a great host, always
… read more answers every question and takes good care of his workawayers. There is always more than enough delicious food:). Also, it is a very good work-time-off-balance and the work is straight forward. We really fell in love with Nova Scotia and its people and would go back anytime. If you're thinking about going there, think no longer! Tom keeps on saying it's gonna be his last season, so GO! Thanks for the great memories:).You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
