I’m at the turning point in my life, not sure what’s coming next, but ready to embrace the change. After several year of pause, I’m back on Workaway, looking for new opportunities to learn and grow, to meet new people and discover new horizons.
I’m simple and wild (if that goes together ?), always on escape from conventional norms of lifestyle, prefering small forest paths over crowded highways. I value simplicity and honesty, good hearted and humble humans. I love all kinds of physical activities, like to keep my body and mind in shape. Nature is where I gain peace, she gives me strenght and regenerates my soul.
There are many ways one can describe oneself, yet the best way to know the person, is of course, by meeting them...

The first on the list I would put my explorative spirit and willingness to learn-with those, I believe, every skill is
aquirable, if only interest and passion is there. I have many passions, therefoere I believe, many skills to
share :)

Growing up in countryside, all sorts of physical work has been familiar to me since early age: from gardening
and animal care, to houshold tasks, cooking, cleaning and even working in forest and shepherding. I’m
creative, love to draw and paint, do screenprinting, also have some basic skills in graphic design (photoshop &illustrator), love to take photos of nature.
Done some basic building and renovation projects, like builiding tiny sauna from clay, glass bottles and other recycled materials; been part of several renovation projects as well built my own camper van. That being said, i would gladly learn more, especially about eco building and some basic woodwork.
One of my big passions since many years is yoga and pilates, so definitely could share some knowledge or practice of those. I'm also newly certified massage practicionner, so there's chance to get massage or i could teach some basics of quiromassage.
I speak several languages. I am responsible and respectful towards other people and environment.
I'm learning quickly and am quiet friendly and cooperative.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Help in a Cave Farm and pick ...)

I spent almost two month's at Baptistes' place and it definitely has felt like being my home since the moment I arrived until the day I left. The communication was excellent both before my arrival to coordinate everything, as well as during my stay in finca. Baptiste is really welcoming, friendly and easy going person. He is also an excellent cook … read more and can teach some amazing and original recipes.
To work in finca for me felt more like helping a friend than anything else. I could manage my own time, start the work whenever I felt like, as long as I did 4-5h a day. For me this kind of freedom and flexibility is really important, so I really appreciated it.In general, You have to be independent and be able to plan your time&be responsible for work you do, as Baptiste is a busy guy and he won't always be there to coordinate.
During my stay, I was doing mostly construction work and some gardening, as finca is in it's beginning stages of reconstruction. I learned new skills and techniques working together with Juan Carlos-a carpenter&handy man-if you have chance to work with Juan, you also will have an opportunity to improve your Spanish skills and maybe learn some other tricks from him :) As this is a growing project, probably your tasks will be completely different from mine and they will probably be ever changing, which I think is a good thing.
As for the accommodation: living in a cave was definitely one of the highlights, as for me it was new experience and I really enjoyed it.
The finca is not too far from civilization, but sometimes you have to put some effort to get to the city and back, as the public transport from the village is not so often. There is an option to walk down to Guia (it's about 40-50 min walk), and from there it's pretty easy to get wherever you want by bus. You can also hitchhike or coordinate with Baptiste-he's going down by car quite often and I'm sure he will be happy to help out giving a ride and sharing some useful information about the island & places to go&see.
I recommend this place, if you're looking for peaceful environment, relaxed atmosphere and are ok to spend time by yourself&being independent. Baptiste, no doubt, is a great host.
