Hello everyone,

I'm Nadine, currently living in Berlin and have been working as a project and sustainability manager in the events sector for many years.

Since May last year, I am on a one-year break from my life in Berlin and am currently traveling through Europe. During this time, far away from my everyday life in Berlin, I would like to gather many new impressions, discover the most diverse places and be inspired by them and the people there, and perhaps inspire others as well. I want to "think outside the box" & gain new perspectives, change my viewpoint, face challenges and master uncomfortable situations, learn new things and do completely foreign work (such as herding sheep or goats in the countryside for example), help with my strengths and pass on knowledge, meet all kinds of people & maybe make friends among them and gain unforgettable experiences.

I describe myself as a positive person who greets and leaves the day with a smile.
I am a sunny and active person and enjoy different sports, such as kickboxing, dancing, Pilates and especially surfing. But I also love to relax, read, go to the theatre, cinema or concerts. Music is my great love, a day without music is almost like a lost day for me. My family and friends are the most important to me, I love spending time with them and sharing memories. But I also like to meet new people, the different ways of life and mindsets fascinate me. We can learn so much from each other and grow from it.

I am a very animal-loving person, especially I love dogs and cats. But I am also very curious about other animals and I would like to get experience in treating and caring for them and learning to get closer to them.

The ocean is my favourite place - being by and in the ocean makes me truly happy, it's where I feel most at ease, it calms me and gives me energy at the same time, and it's where I always find my way back to myself. For this reason, all my journeys take me to the sea. And I hope to live permanently by the sea someday.

I am very much looking forward to the upcoming workaways and the related work and experiences and to meeting the hosts.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Due to my work as a project manager, I am very organized, resilient, flexible and responsible. Even in stressful situations, I maintain an overview, remain calm and find solutions quickly.

I have already worked in 2015 and 2018 as an assistant in a surf camp in Portugal for 3 months each, where I was mainly responsible for the guest service and organization, cleaning of the house and rooms as well as the rental of surf equipment and support of the surf instructors in the communication & organization of the surf courses.

Furthermore I like to learn and understand quickly, I am open for new & unknown tasks and I trust myself with a lot. I believe that you can do anything if you want to.
