¡BIENVENIDOS A MI PERFIL!
Soy Santi, una chica de 27 años a quien le encanta aventurarse en conocer nuevos países, culturas y personas. Me encanta vivir nuevas experiencias a la vez que le echo una mano a quien lo necesite :)

Actualmente vivo en Gran Canaria y quiero encaminar mis experiencias de Workaway en las islas hacia proyectos relacionados con jardinería, cuidado de animales e iniciativas culturales.

Mi experiencia en Workaway comenzó cuando tenía 18 años. Mi mejor amiga y yo hicimos un viaje a un pequeño y encantador pueblo cerca de Dublín y tuvimos la oportunidad de participar durante un mes en tareas de construcción y reparación en una finca rural junto con otros voluntarios.

Años después, el verano tras terminar mi grado en Bioquímica en España viví otra experiencia Workaway y pasé 4 meses haciendo voluntariados por los Países Bajos, alojándome con diferentes anfitriones y ayudándoles con todo tipo de proyectos: jardinería, cuidado de animales (principalmente ovejas, caballos y gallinas) y tareas de renovación del hogar.

Todas esas experiencias me han enseñado mucho, no solo sobre habilidades prácticas de trabajo en diferentes ámbitos, sino también sobre las personas y la humanidad, y eso es algo que me encanta.

Sobre mí: soy una persona de mente abierta, respetuosa y me considero una chica tranquila y fácil de tratar. Soy capaz de adaptarme a nuevas situaciones, a todo tipo de comidas (sin carne) y a formas de vida alternativas. Aunque no sepa hacer de todo, me encanta aprender nuevas habilidades :)

WELCOME TO MY PROFILE!

I'm Santi, a 27 years-old girl who loves venturing in knowing new countries, cultures and people.
Living new experiences while helping anyone who needs an extra hand makes me happy :)

I currently live in Gran Canaria and I'd love to channel my Workaway experience into proyects related to gardening, animal care and cultural initiatives around the islands.

My Workaway journey began when I was 18. Me and my best friend took a trip to a charming small village near Dublin and had the chance to parttake on construction and reparation tasks on a country state with other volunteers for a month.

Then, the summer after I finished my degree in Biochemistry in Spain, I went for another Workaway experience and spent 4 months volunteering through The Netherlands, staying with different hosts and helping the with all kinds of projects: gardening, animal care (sheeps, horses and chickens mainly) and home renovation tasks.

All those experiences have taught me not only a lot about useful work skills in different fields, but also a lot about people and humanity, and I love it.

About me: I’m open-minded and respectful and I consider myself an easy-going girl. I’m able to adapt to new situations, all kinds of meals (meat-free) and alternative ways of living, and even if I don't know how to do everything, I love learning new skills.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since I have experience in Workaway volunteering, I have been involved in different types of proyects so I have some experience in DIY, painting, gardening and animal care. I recognized that I am not a professional at those fields at all, but I think that my strenght is my active attitude and my eager to learn and contribute working.

Also, I consider myself as a strong and athletic girl and I don't mind getting my hands dirty.

It is worth mentioning that I have lived alone independently so I know how to do all the housework. I consider myself clean, tidy and responsible, and also I can try to cook some typical Spanish meals :)
