Aloha! I am Jenny, 62, and I live on Maui, the second largest island in Hawaii. I just wrapped up four months work-trading all across New Zealand, am currently in Italy, and headed to Canada before the end of June. I am a career permaculture designer and consultant, and have worked all over the Hawaiian islands, the Pacific NW of the US, and Central America. My specialties are climate resilient agroforestry, neighborhood food, and watershed restoration and management.

I can offer design work on your rural, suburban or urban property/neighborhood/farm/orchard, and can work on whatever projects you have going on. I have extensive food-growing experience (and putting up the harvest), am a great vegetarian cook, can help with your kids and elders, I know how to use tools, I use computers and have great writing skills, can greet guests, ... I'm up for anything. I've empty-nested and I'm off on adventures! I like to play music, enjoy good company, have a good sense of humor, and I know how to keep to myself as well. I've been moving around a lot and am ideally looking for a Workaway for at least three weeks, and can also be available to house, pet, and take care of your garden while you're on vacation.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Share our beautiful historic ...)

I loved staying with Jane and Spen! They are kind and welcoming people, they have a beautiful property, and the best separate cottage for workawayers to stay. I worked in the garden, helped with some house chores, we shared delicious dinners together, and I was invited to the beach, on gorgeous walks, and got to see a lot of the area.

It was great to have Jenny on site with her knowledge of permaculture etc and we learnt a lot about it for future reference esp related to hugel kulture and the use of biochar.
