Hey! I’m a 25 year old surfer and lifeguard from the coastal south west of the UK! I arrived in Sydney in January 2024 looking for new adventures after spending a solid 5 years at university in the UK, eventually completing a masters degree in Environment and Human Health. My degree had a big focus on oceans and how they can impact our health beneficially and I became super keen to explore the world and learn from different organisations providing ocean-based therapy or supported programs for all sorts of different demographic groups.
I’m motivated massively by helping others, especially increasing access to nature. Through turning up to volunteer at a para-surfing event while backpacking through California, I’m now a water safety volunteer on the Adaptive Surfing World Tour and have been lucky enough to help out at competitions this year in California, Byron Bay and Hawaii!
For the last few months in Sydney I have been working as a lifeguard at the new inland surf park (URBNSURF) which opened to the public this year in May. I’m now looking for new opportunities to offer different experiences as I would love to explore more of Australia and meet people I wouldn’t otherwise meet through staying in the same location/job for too long!
