… read more always clear and organized about what needed to be done around the house. The tasks were a nice mix – helping with the kids, light housework and cooking – and she made sure there was plenty of time to relax and soak up the Bondi lifestyle.
Even though I was only there for three weeks, I felt like I really got to live a full Aussie experience. I got to explore places around Sydney I probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise, but the best part was being part of their daily life – family dinners sharing stories, Saturday mornings grabbing coffee and reading books, movie nights, seeing the Vivid lights and all the fun moments with the kids.
I feel lucky I was there for Lior’s birthday too, it was so much fun cooking and helping out with his party. Tutu is absolutely adorable and it’s so sweet how much she adores her brother. Lior is so creative, I loved all the drawings and Lego creations we made together.
Thank you so much for making me feel like part of the family, I couldn’t recommend them more! ❤️

An amazing experience with the most welcoming family in the dreamiest of locations, 2 minutes from the beach!
I initially had planned to stay with Miriam, Lior and Tuts for two weeks but stayed with them for almost a month! Miriam is an awesome host and has a beautiful apartment just a short stroll from Bondi beach. She always had clear
… read more communication on what she needed help with and was very respectful and flexible so that we could schedule the volunteer hours alongside the other weekly commitments I had. She scheduled in a mix of morning & evening babysitting, general house jobs as well as going swimming all together at Bondi Icebergs which was so much fun! I really felt valued and part of the family and loved hanging out with Lior and Tutu! Making pancakes and seeing how good Lior is at helping with cooking and going to the park all together was definitely a top highlight! I also loved how musical this family is, singing all together was popular with Lior and Tutu and it was awesome to see how talented Miriam is as a musician!

Sharon was our first workaway helper and was delightful. She was energetic and thoughtful with the kids and respected the needs and culture of our house hold. She was a good communicator and plenty of initiative. Our only disappointment was that she was only able to stay a week.

What a beautiful family! I'm sad that I only got to stay for one week, but this was the perfect way to close out my Australia trip. Lior and Tuts are so dynamic and fun to hang out with, and it's so sweet to see how much Lior takes care of his little sister. … read more and provides nurturing, healthy meals. It was also a treat to hear her serenading her kids to sleep each night.
The location is insane!! Just a 5 minute walk from the famous Bondi Beach + pool, easy access to buses that will take you into the city, and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars to explore. (I highly recommend taking the ferry from Watson's Bay).
