Who are we?
We are Wesley & Destina, a couple sharing strong common values and a genuine passion for human connection, discovery and meaningful experiences. Between a curious consultant-in-training and a social & environmental psychologist, we make quite the duo! 😄
Wesley is 26, originally from Montpellier, France, finishing a Master's degree in Consulting & Information Systems Management. Warm, simple and always eager to learn, he's the kind of person who finds joy in a good bike ride, a chess match or a deep conversation about life.
Destina is 23, a social and environmental psychologist with a natural gift for understanding people and their relationship with the world around them. She has a real passion for travel, photography and climbing always looking for new heights, literally and figuratively!

Why travel?
We are both at a meaningful point in our lives where we want to go beyond our comfort zones and truly experience the world not just as tourists, but as curious and engaged human beings. We believe that immersing ourselves in different cultures, lifestyles and environments is one of the most powerful ways to grow, both individually and as a couple.

What we believe in
We share strong and heartfelt values. We are both vegetarian, and this reflects a broader commitment to living consciously respecting living beings, being mindful of our impact and making thoughtful choices every day. We deeply believe in mutual support, generosity and the beauty of giving without expecting anything in return.

What we love doing together
When we're not exploring new places, you'll find us hiking through nature, playing board games around a table, facing off at chess or simply soaking in the world around us. Destina captures it all through her lens, while Wesley is happiest on two wheels. Together, we bring energy, curiosity and good vibes wherever we go.

What we bring
We don't come as spectators. We come ready to contribute, help out, share our skills and genuinely connect with our hosts. Wesley's background in information systems can be useful for digital organisation or tech-related tasks, while Destina's psychology background makes her a naturally empathetic, attentive and thoughtful presence.
One thing that defines us both is our curiosity and eagerness to learn. Even if we step into a completely new field or task we've never tried before, we embrace it with enthusiasm and are fully ready to learn on the go. For us, not knowing something is never a barrier it's just another opportunity to grow.

Our Workaway experience
Destina has already had a Workaway experience and absolutely loved it the connections made, the things learned and the memories created only made her want to dive back in. For Wesley, this will be a first time, and he couldn't be more excited to finally discover what this adventure is all about. Together, we combine Destina's firsthand experience with Wesley's fresh enthusiasm, and we truly can't wait to meet you, learn from you and hopefully leave a little something positive behind.

Wesley's Skills

Education & Digital Skills

Finishing a Master's degree in Consulting & Information Systems Management has given me solid skills in digital tools, project management, data analysis and organisational problem-solving. Need help with a website, spreadsheets, workflow structuring or anything tech-related? Happy to help!

Languages

Native French speaker, and I'd love to help anyone wanting to practice! 🇫🇷 My English is intermediate I can make myself understood and follow conversations well, though I'm more comfortable understanding than speaking. Improving my English is actually one of my main motivations for this Workaway experience, so I'll make up for it with enthusiasm!

Everyday & Practical Skills

I'm someone who enjoys getting things done whether it's helping in the kitchen with vegetarian recipes, tackling everyday tasks around the house or getting outdoors for any physical work.

Cycling & Outdoor Skills

As a passionate cyclist, I have enough mechanical knowledge to analyse a bike issue and potentially fix it. I also love hiking, so anything active and outdoors suits me perfectly.

Fast & Enthusiastic Learner

My greatest asset is probably my willingness to learn. I pick things up quickly, enjoy stepping into unfamiliar territory and always give my best even when starting from scratch. New challenge? Count me in!

Destina's Skills

Education & Psychology
Destina holds a degree in Psychology, specialising in Social and Environmental Psychology. This gives her a deep understanding of human behaviour, group dynamics and how people relate to their environment skills that translate naturally into empathy, active listening and creating a positive atmosphere wherever she goes.

Working with People & Animation
She has hands-on experience as a youth leader, having worked with teenagers and younger children. She knows how to engage, motivate and create meaningful activities for groups of all ages a real asset in any community or hosting environment!

Project Management
Destina has a genuine appetite for organisation and project management. She's the kind of person who naturally brings structure, clarity and follow-through to any collective endeavour.

Arts & Creativity
She loves drawing and has a real eye for aesthetics. Combined with her passion for photography, she brings a creative and visual sensibility to everything she does and will probably capture some beautiful memories along the way!

Hands-on & DIY Skills
Destina is naturally practical and handy. She's comfortable tackling DIY tasks and figuring things out with her hands give her a toolbox and she'll find her way!

Languages
Destina is a native French speaker and also speaks Turkish fluently, as she originally comes from Turkey which gives her a wonderful multicultural perspective that she carries into every encounter. She is very comfortable in English 🇬🇧 and can hold conversations with ease. She also has a good foundation in Spanish 🇪🇸, making her quite the linguist of the duo! Her language skills are a real asset for connecting with people from all kinds of backgrounds.
