Their hospitality was outstanding, and we felt so welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We mainly helped with weeding and painting the inside of the recently built glasshouse, which was not too hard but very rewarding. They were easygoing and flexible, and

They live in a gorgeous modern home with the cutest and funniest dog duo ever, Bisou and Bentley. Our accommodation was a lovely, spacious bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Joanne is an exceptional cook, and she went all out preparing delicious meals every day, as well as baking the yummiest cakes and bread. Reed always offered us his homebrewed beer and wine which were the best!
Joanne and Reed have a great sense of humor and we had many interesting conversations, especially at dinnertime. We had lots of fun playing with the dogs and enjoyed the great views and sunsets from their property. They also took us on a few rides to see some cool places in the area.

Gil came to us for one week upon his arrival in New Zealand. We found him to be very considerate and helpful. He was interested in helping with outdoor projects especially with the glasshouse my husband is building. He did a great job and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was definatley a culture exchange, the accommodation was over the top and so was the food.
