Beschreibung

Hello! We are Ana & Eric.
Ana is an electrician and Eric is a geographer. We are currently living in beautiful Vancouver, CA! Living here has made us realize how beautiful BC is and made us want to go explore more of it!

Eric is French Canadian and Ana is from Eastern Europe. We share a love of the outdoors and enjoy being surrounded by mountains and ocean. We spend all our free time outside climbing, skiing, and sailing. Eric volunteers with the local outdoors club doing trail and hut maintenance. Ana teaches rock climbing and mountaineering, and is a part-time nanny.

We love travelling to new locations and building relationships withing the communities we visit. We're both passionate about environmental sustainability and are interested in learning about permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and low-carbon lifestyles.

Ana is an artist at heart and loves crafting, sewing, and painting. Eric is passionate about building resilient public transportation and housing infrastructure.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Ana: I grew up on an acreage and became obsessed with sustainable agriculture as a teenager, starting and maintaining a backyard garden for many years. I also helped take care of our many fruit trees and we enjoyed fresh apricots, plums, and cherries every summer. I've also tended to chickens and goats on my family's farm back in Europe.
I have experience with basic landscaping/carpentry and can of course build and maintain electrical systems.

Eric: I did planning and maintenance for mountain huts around the lower mainland in BC. I have experience budgeting and planning for materials purchase and transport (often done by helicopter for the more remote locations). I'm also an IT expert and can help set up and troubleshoot communications networks.

We are new to workaway but excited to make some new connections ! We want to spend a few weeks this summer exploring the north coast of BC or the northern tip of Vancouver island. We are flexible on dates!
