  Hello, I live in South east Bulgaria with my 5 dogs and 2 cats on the edge of a village, surrounded by acres of fields, trees and hills, great for exploring, walking and just peace and tranquility. Of course living in amongst nature means work to keep everything under control and I'm looking for help with that. During spring and early summer there are daily tasks in the garden and surrounding area, including weeding, mowing, trimming bushes, tree care, planting and general gardening tasks. There are also fences to repair and replace and general maintenance of the outbuildings and main house, such as painting and minor repairs.
  Care of my 5 dogs and inside the house takes a good chunk of my time not leaving me much to do everything else! I don't need help with the dogs but you will interact with them so an animal lover is absolutely essential. Youll need to be comfortable with large, playful, boisterous, inquisitive mutts wanting your undivided attention. They are friendly but also guard dogs so bark.
  In return for a few hours of your time each day you'll l have your own double bedroom and meals and share the rest of the house. If you want to prepare your own food that is an option but I can cater to most preferences.
  I would prefer someone older, laid back, physically fit and very flexible, willing to undertake any tasks that might crop up! You will need to be comfortable around big dogs, dont mind getting dirty and sharing dog hair and enjoy the quiet life.
  A smoker is welcome but non alcoholic drinkers are preferable. Work time is usually morning as it is hot here in summertime so you'll need to be comfortable with heat and humidity. Afternoons and 2 days a week are free time. I can host only one person unless you have your own campervan or similar then I can consider couples but no children or animals .   you will have comfortable, cosy accommodation in my home with meals provided. I am a good cook and can cater to most tastes. We can share shopping, food prep, cooking and cleaning up after! There will be plenty of free time to explore this area of natural beauty, walking, hiking, cycling, one hour from the beautiful black sea coast, close to Turkey and Greece for exploring further afield. Bulgaria is a very culturally diverse country, something for everyone to discover. If you need time and space to chill out there is a separate office/craft room where you can try your hand at paper crafts, or listen to music, meditate, exercise or watch tv, or even work online. I have fast fibre internet. If English is not your first language I am happy to help you improve and can provide structured lessons. If you want to explore I'm happy to drive you to the local bus station whenever you want to go further afield or you can take a bus from the village to local towns and Burgas on the black sea coast. There are some expats in the village and we have occasional social events.
  I am a smoker so smokers are welcome.
  I don't drink alcohol and would prefer to host only occasional or non drinkers.

  Arbeit

  The role is mainly for maintenance of my 2000m2 garden. Maintainance and organising outbuildings, help with animals if needed (such as accompanying to vets) Varied and mostly easy tasks, generally helping me to keep everything clean, tidy and well maintained. Driver would be useful but not essential
  Organisation skills, methodical, practical and logical person with some knowledge of basic DIY and gardening.

  Small cottage type house, own private double room, with lovely views over open countryside. Share the rest of the house. Separate office space with computer if required. Meals included.companionshio welcome.

  Located in a rural village with daily bus service to local towns. We have a well stocked shop that can provide most things. Main city with transport hubs 40km away, local town with all facilities 17km. Very quiet area with the property located on the edge of the village. Little to do in the evenings so if you enjoy watching TV, playing board games, reading or just chatting and chilling its the ideal spot. I am happy to show you around and drive you to the bus station if you want to explore further afield on your free days. Bulgaria is steeped in history too and there are museums, galleries and throughout the year there are festivals, cultural events and open air concerts. You could even learn Bulgarian! The people are friendly, inquisitive and welcoming. The capital is a 4 hour bus journey and well worth a visit.
