Hi! My name is Tarek Charaf, and I’m a 25-year-old Master’s student in Strategic Management and Change at Paris-Saclay University. I’m originally from Syria and living in France, where I’ve been pursuing my academic and professional journey.

I’ve always been passionate about traveling, meeting new people, and immersing myself in different cultures. Whether it’s through sharing stories, trying new cuisines, or exploring hidden gems, I find joy in the connections I make and the perspectives I gain. I’m also an avid cook and love introducing people to Middle Eastern cuisine—it’s my way of sharing a piece of home with the world.

Professionally, my background is in real estate, business, and entrepreneurship, and I’ve gained valuable experience in finance and NGOs. I enjoy working on meaningful projects and believe in making a positive impact wherever I go. I’m open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn from every opportunity.

In my free time, I love exploring nature, making new friends, and discovering the unique beauty of every place I visit. I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute, share skills, and grow through the Workaway experience! 😊

Living in France has been an amazing opportunity for me to immerse myself in the French language. I speak French fluently, but I’m always looking for ways to enhance and perfect my skills—there’s always more to learn! I’m also very interested in learning Spanish. Its rhythm and cultural richness make it an exciting language to explore, and I would love to pick up new phrases and improve my understanding. I believe languages are a gateway to understanding cultures better, and I’m enthusiastic about any chance to practice or learn from others.

Hospitality Experience: I’ve worked as a receptionist in hotels, gaining expertise in customer support and hotel management software. I know how to provide a warm welcome and ensure guests have a great experience.
Real Estate and Hosting Knowledge: I’ve built my own real estate management business in Lebanon, which has given me insights into hosting, property management, and platforms like Airbnb. I can also provide consulting advice, linking my professional experience with my current studies in Strategic Management.
Social and Friendly: I’m very outgoing and love connecting with people. Whether it’s having a good conversation or sharing a laugh, I enjoy creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
