Hi I’m Selma!👋
I’m a Swedish/french girl who lives in Sweden and have recently finished my studies. Now I wish to learn and experience this world from different perspectives and places, which is how I came across Workaway. I believe its a amazing way to get a authentic experience to travel less as a tourist but more as a part of the locals.

Since August I've been traveling around Europe, visiting new cities, meeting new people and doing different kinds of workaways. I love visiting new cities and learning about their history and people. Making new friends along the way has also been amazing. This year I've settled to France but for my last workaway I've also thought about germany and switzerland as it's on my way back to Sweden.

As a person I’m always positive and hardworking. During my travels I've really developed a passion for animalcare and the reason I'm going back to Sweden in October is to prepare my studies to become a veterinary nurse.

I love doing different workaways, meeting new people and learning things! These experiences have taught me so much about life and all its opportunities.
I hope that we too can get to know each other soon :)

So where do I begin?
I’m an artist at heart and by training. I’ve been studying art for over three years, focusing on painting, sculpting, and drawing. I love creating things with my hands, whether it's on a canvas or with other materials. If you need help with any creative projects, I’d be thrilled to contribute!

I speak three languages fluently: English, French, and Swedish.

I have experience with animals and have worked a lot with abandoned dogs, on farms and with horses!

I'm no stranger to getting my hands dirty and would love to help out with anything animal or farm related. Physically demanding jobs isn't an issue for me as I am in good health and very enthusiastic about all kinds of work!

I'm currently working in a guesthouse with cleaning of the rooms but also at the restaurant-part of the guesthouse. The best thing about the job is being able to spread good energy while guests enjoy their meals. I’m quick on my feet, attentive to customers’ needs, and always greet everyone with a smile.

As I've been traveling on my own (more or less) for half a year I'm good at organizing, taking initiative and being responsible over many aspects both personal and professional.

It's also taught me the beauty of the world and the people living around it.
