Maddie and Luke were such superb workaways and worked so hard and enthusiastically over the whole month.Luke enjoyed cutting and splitting the wood and shedding the branches and doing so many small maintenance jobs around the place. They worked so well as a team and were always really happy ,amusing and nothing was too much for them.
Thank you also

I was very interested in their American culture and life and we together spent many hours discussing about life here,England and America which they were very proud of.
They made the most of exploring Brittany with their car and always being so sociable and interesting made many friends
I would certainly recommend them as fantastic workaways and hope one day they will return
My boyfriend and I spent a month staying with Jackie in Brittany. Having never had any Workaway experience, we had no idea what to expect. Needless to say, staying with Jackie far surpassed all of our expectations. She lives with three adorable dogs and five idiosyncratic horses. Her property is situated in the Breton countryside surrounded by
… read more babbling creeks and rolling green hills. Despite being located between two small villages, we were able to properly explore Brittany every weekend. We went to the coast, Dinan, Saint Malo, Bayeux, and Mont Saint Michele. If possible, we definitely recommend renting a car, because it gives you freedom to explore some of the most gorgeous parts of France. While staying there,
Jackie introduced us to her friends who were all so sweet and interesting.
We were able to manage our own workdays, and ended up starting work at around 10 am, taking a break for lunch, and then working again until around 4. The work consisted of moving wood, pressure washing, painting, general maintenance, and some horse related chores. After work ended, we would either go into town, go on walks, hang out with the dogs and horses, or cook dinner together. Jackie prepared dinner for us 90% of the time, and we cooked a few meals for her the other 10%. Together, the three of us became quite good friends, and we usually wouldn’t retire until around 9 or 10 pm. If we ever get a chance to travel over from the United States we ABSOLUTELY will return to stay with Jackie and her animals:)

I would also like to leave my feedback on my experience at Jackie's in Langourla even if a little late.

Jackie was very helpful and taught me new things
I did lots of different and satisfying little jobs, including painting the veranda of her house, managing and cleaning the horses, cleaning the stables, cleaning the fields, tidying the vegetable garden. Every day there was something new and different to do! I appreciated it!
The work is not organised in defined hours, but you have to be quite flexible and understand when your help is needed. I often worked with Jackie and I also often worked independently.
The place is surrounded in the green and beautiful countryside of Brittany and is not connected by transport, so if you want to travel at the weekend, best to go by car!
I highly recommend this experience! Thanks Jackie! 💚 :)

I miss the people and animals a lot, especially OB and Pipi and will definitely come back!!Feedback

Our stay with Jackie was a very special and amazing moment for us 💕 we stay with her for 2 weeks. We also helped around with some fence painting, water hozing and cleaning the stables. We even manage to paint a colorful little mural 🥰.
Jackie was everything we hoped for and more! She was sweet, funny and very welcoming. We watched some series, played cards and visited some villages. Also she makes the best blueberry crumble ever! We hope to see her again soon! 💕🥰
love and kisses
