Hi there!

We are Bolette(31F) and Mathias(30M). We're a couple currently living in Svendborg, Denmark. We have a dog named Marley who we will be bringing on our travels. She is a 6 year old Border Collie/Aussie mix. Her and Bolette have trained extensively and have been attending competitions (and won some as well). This just to say she is very well trained and behaved.

We're both teachers from The Free Teachers Academy in Ollerup, specialising in the free schools of Denmark. After having spent a couple of years at a Waldorf school for kids with special needs, we now felt the calling to pursue our dream of living in Spain for at least a year. We want to explore the country, meet new people and learn the language.

A little bit about us:
Mathias - I'm a smiling, calm guy whose big passion is music. I've played drums all my life and have both taught and played professionally. I can also play "lejrbåls-guitar", which is a danish way of saying I know just enough to play songs sung around a campfire. I DJ various forms of electronic music and I love finding new music to listen to. I've taught music history and I love talking music with people.
Other than music I like travelling, making relations, partying, gaming, working out, reading, walking.. I'm curious on people and make an effort on getting to know them.

Bolette - I'm a happy, curious and passionate soul whose biggest childhood dream is to travel the world. I love meeting new people and discovering new places and again and again I find myself in awe over the connections we are able to make despite cultural differences, language barriers or political standpoints. We are all amazed by the same sunsets and astounded by the night sky above us. I love being around animals and have both trained dogs and horses. I enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, as well as singing, dancing, writing and painting. And I make a mean cappuccino :)

As work-awayers we want to contribute to community.
We believe that healthy communites are established through love and open-mindedness as well as responsibility.
Co-creation is a big value of ours as well and we believe that everyone brings something different and important to the table.
We have both experienced how hard work externally and internally and applying yourself to whatever task is ahead of you, is a great tool for growth.
We value laughter, creativity, a learning environment and great conversation.

Was noch ...

We love doing drama and have both worked as drama-teachers for special needs children. We have acted and been a part of several other theatre-projects as well.

Bolette has worked as a barista for 6 years. She both knows a lot about coffee and knows how to handle an espresso machine.
