Bonjour! My name is Raphael, a French Canadian with a knack for construction and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. After running my own drywalling company in Canada, my wanderlust called me to explore new horizons, making Workaway a natural fit for me at this stage of my journey.
When I'm not honing my construction skills, you can find me engaging in humanitarian work with the organization All Hands and Hearts. I am eager to continue learning and expanding my portfolio, with the ultimate dream of one day constructing my own home from the ground up.
Easygoing and grounded, I enjoy the simple pleasures in life. While I've moved past the wild party days, I still know how to have a good time in moderation. I thrive on hard work, relishing the feeling of accomplishment at the end of a productive day. Let's collaborate, create, and make meaningful memories together!

When it comes to construction, I've dabbled in a bit of everything since I was 17. Spent a year studying civil engineering, but still got heaps to pick up along the way! Comfortable with all sorts of tools - give me a bobcat or an excavator, and I'll manage just fine. Though, gotta admit, mechanical systems like plumbing, electricity, and HVAC aren't exactly my strong suit.
Outside of construction, I've got a pretty wild imagination. Love letting my creativity run the show, and keeping things fun and jokey is my jam!

I'm a fan of soccer and hockey, I enjoy a bike or kayak run, going to hike a mountain. I also enjoy a night with friends playing board games around the table. I like to paint the few times i've done it.
