my interests are being in nature, connecting with other people and being part of a peaceful community, also farming and permaculture and i love being around animals and creating and enjoying music.

Beschreibung

Hello my name is Nina, I am 21 years old.

My first workaway was in 2022, I spent 4 months helping in an animal rescue center for horses and dogs in central Portugal. It was my first time experiencing horses in a more natural and free environment and learning a little bit about Natural Horsemanship. During my time there, I learned so much about how to interact with animals in a different and beautiful way. I also saw how important mutual trust between you and the animal is. Especially with the dogs that had a very painful past, it was amazing to see the changes. My time there showed me how important it is that we learn to live in harmony with animals.

I then traveled to the Portuguese coast and took part in a permaculture design course. There we lived off-grid for two weeks with about 20 people and learned about how to grow our own food, build our own off-grid systems, live in a small comunity and be more in balance with nature. There i also got the chance to learn about bio intensive farming and the buisness side of farming. Since than it has been a dream of mine to someday start my own organic farm.

In 2023, I moved to Berlin. Here I am doing a voice training course and learning a lot about creativity. I also worked as a hostess at the Konzerthaus Berlin until march 2024.

Although I really enjoy some aspects of living in the city, I miss the outdoors, being around animals and like minded communities, so I'm looking forward to traveling again, meeting amazing people and having more beautiful experiences with workaway and also gaining more experience with working on and running a farm.

I am realiable, honest and always give my best. I have experience with being around animals and taking care of them. I see when there is work to be done and i am an independent worker.I have some skills in cooking vegan and vegetarian, and fermenting and preserving vegetables. I can help with setting up and taking care of a garden to grow food and general knowledge about farming and permaculture systems. I have experience with hosting and working with guests/customers and i am open and friendly. I can play the guitar, the piano and sing and love making and enjoying music with other people. :)
