  A non-profit organization
  
  We take care of the rescue animals ( horses and Dogs) in Portugal close to Evora
  
  Goal and vision of the organization is:
  
  • We rescue animals, especially horses that are mentally, physically damaged, no longer welcome to their owners, or are specified by veterinary medicine. These animals need expert and loving guidance. We give this guidance by placing the animals in a more natural environment, providing them with nutrition that fits the biology of the horse and by offering them specific training and personal guidance.
  
  Important to know
  We would like a minimum stay 2 month, this is in the interest of the animals. It is very restless for the animals, especially the dogs with trauma when there is a large turnover of volunteers. So if you already know that you are only staying for 1 or 2 weeks, don't send us an email, in the interest of the animals.
  
  It is also very important that you are balanced and not scared, and can really do all the work independently and also see work. The volunteers who wil joyn us, are there to make our work easier, not make it harder. We can not have verry scared, and depressed volunteers, this is dangerous among the horses, and dogs, and this then becomes a major concern for us. It even may be that you look after the animals for 1 to 2 weeks, independently, if Monique has to go to the Netherlands. We hope for understanding.
  The most important thing in an animal shelter is that the animals feel always the safety.

  Was ist das?

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  In exchange for help we give you foot and sleepingplace insite the house in winter, or outsite in a little tent in spring and summer.
  
  If posible for us, and we see good balans in work you do, and you stay for a longer time, we can give some of the basic training on:
  Infinity training with horses, what is a horse and how is its natural behavior, and how can i work with the horse in that way in respect.
  Communication with nature and animals. Bodylanguage, Energy and telepathy
  Coaching from and with the horses and Monique.
  
  We can help you with questions you have in live, ore abouth yourself.
  
  Energy work from the base, and lurn to heal animals and human with energy

  Arbeit

  We are looking for nice JONG INDEPENDENT people who can work with horses who live in a herd, and who can train the horses, also independent in a natural way, and can take care of them. They need hay ( 30-40 haynets need to be filled every day) and food we make also every morning and sometimes in the evening. The horses need personal connection, this when ever we have time, and like to give them this. The dogs need nice walks every day, atleast 1 hour, what will be a part of the volunteerwork. The volunteerwork needs to be done every day, and take between 1- 2 hour a day, sometimes a bit more. There can be periodes that we have only 1 volunteer who can do the work alone, and can be done in 2 hours, because we wil have someone who fill the nets for us.
  It would be nice if people see the work and just go for it. Also cleaning after using the shower and/or kitchen is a part of living in our house. It may be that you - you look after the animals for 1 to 2 weeks, independently, if Monique has to go to the Netherlands
  
  People can stay here for at least 1 month, we prefer longer time, even 4 or more months would be great.
  
  In summer July and august it is to hot to work with the horses up here, so then it is time to slow down. The care taking of the horses in the morning and evening needs to be done ofcorse and the walks with the dogs.
  
  If you can't handle horses independently or work with horses in freedom, or can't help for at least a month, please don't send us an application.

  Unterkunft

  in winter time there is a place in the house for 1 ore 2 persons in 1 little room. Its verry importand you like dogs, because the are in the house also, and one of the dogs ( Bas ) needs special approximation because of his trauma ( we tel you more before you come, so you can dicite if you wanne come or not )
  From spring to autum there is a wonderfull place you can set up your tent and sleep there. We have little tents with airmatras and blancets also at this place you can use.
  
  Everyone is not supposed to cook food during the day. Cooking is done once a day and the rest of the day there is enough food to use. Monique cooks in the evenings, except on weekends. Then the volunteers can choose to cook for everyone who is present in the evening, or do dinner in the wonderfull vilage Nossa senhora de Machede.
  In the evening after dinner, the volunteers go to there room, so it wil be calm in the house for the dogs.
  
  The volunteer – participant agrees to release and discharge the Nonprofit in respect of all liability. This for loss or damage of any kind, whether from personal injury, or property damage which the VOLUNTEER PARTICIPANT may suffer from attending the volunteer work – participation howsoever caused.

  In free time, nature is wonderful up here, and you can go to Evora, a city not far from here. Also feel free to stay between the horses and learn there behavior by observing them.
