Heyyy there - I'm Maryse, 32, from Frankfurt, Germany. Thanks for showing interest in my profile! :)

For the next couple of months, I'm going to travel Southeast Asia and I am truly grateful for this opportunity🙏
It would be amazing to get to know (local) cultures and customs, meet open-minded people from diverse backgrounds, learn from each other & ideally acquire new skills. I'm super excited to find my next Workaway and look forward to support you and your project(s)/home/hostel or farm :)

This would be my third Workaway experience. So far, I have worked at a campsite on the Monkey Beach in Penang where we did some jungle cleaning & clearing, dyi projects. Afterwards, I have volunteered at a hostel reception and scooter shop in the Cameron Highlands.

I looove nature, hiking and other outdoor activities. In my free time, I like to take care of my balcony garden, read, relax, spend quality time with friends as well as cook & eat good food😊

Was könntest du arbeiten?

For the past couple of years, I have worked in the movie and video games industry as Programme Manager, Jury Coordinator and Recruiter.
Therefore, I am used to work very closely with people in an international environment. I see myself working with others as well as autonomosly. A mix would be great :) At work and during my studies, I have gathered many communication and organizational skills.

My Master degree is in English, as well as Literature, Media and Film studies. I have been living abroad before (England & France). My final thesis was concerned with climate change and I have a strong interest in alternative and sustainable life styles.

I do have some experience with gardening and small dyi projects but I would love to work on these skills.

Also, I would be happy to try working in a guest house or hostel since I know how much of a difference it makes to have a cozy place to stay & meet a friendly face while backpacking.

Ideally, I can find an accomodation where my skills are of use, while learning something new myself.
