Beschreibung

Hello! We are a family of four: Fernanda, Marco, our daughter Anita (10 years old) and our son Pablo (7 years old). Fernanda is Brazilian and was born and raised in the countryside. Marco is Italian and worked in Brazil for ten years. Since 2019 we have been living in Italy, in the countryside near Rome.
When we moved from Brazil to Italy, we chose to live close to nature. We believe this is very important for our children. We like a simple life, connected to the land, nature and people.
Fernanda is an agroecologist and she loves topics related to sustainable agriculture, agroecology, food security and food sovereignty. She is also a doula, and loves the world of pregnancy, birth, post-partum and personal growth for parents and families.
Marco studied Environmental Economics and works at the Italian public administration. He plays didjeridoo and practices yoga.
Anita is a calm girl; she likes reading and dancing. Pablo is a joyful boy and he is an animal lover; he likes to play outdoor and explore the nature. They both are bilingual, speaking Portuguese and Italian.
We joined Workaway because we would like to spend our holidays living an immersive and non-conventional experience as a family. We like learning, helping, sharing good energy wherever we go and meeting people from different cultures. We believe this is a beautiful way for our children to grow.
We are new to Workaway but we had several experiences concerning volountary projects. We also hosted international volunteers in Brazil at Fernanda's family organic farm.
Fernanda would like to learn English. Her level is still very basic, but she learns better by practicing every day and by connecting with people.

Fernanda is very motivated to improve her English, which is still at a basic level. For her, learning English through daily life, conversation and cultural exchange is very important. Marco is fluent in English. We speak Portuguese and Italian fluently. We do not have formal experience in teaching languages, but we would be happy to help others practice or learn if they are interested.

We are a flexible family and we can adapt easily to new situations. We like to learn and to discover new cultures.
We have experience in agroecology, especially working with the land, gardening and taking care of plants. We enjoy outdoor work and being close to nature.
Fernanda is also very good with children. She has experience, patience and empathy, and she likes to create a calm and safe environment for them.
Marco had many experiences with volountary work, being a volunteer in many countries helping in different kind of projects. He is also good at DIY and general house maintenance.
We have good communication skills and we consider ourselves empathetic and responsible persons. We like to work with others, be collaborative, and share positive energy.

Was noch ...

We enjoy discovering new places and spending time in nature. We love hiking and trekking. We also enjoy the beach and being outdoors.
We like to share social moments and create calm and pleasant times to talk and connect with others. We enjoy cooking and sharing meals together.
The most important for us is that our kids feel comfortable and safe during our journey.
