Beschreibung

Hi there, We are Madelief (Daisy) and Abel. We're a couple from the Netherlands who are currently traveling the world together. We'll tell you a bit about ourselves in this bio.

Madelief:
I'm 19 years old and from the Netherlands.
I'm a person that finds joy in the small things in life, a deep thinker, an empathic person and someone with a big love for animals.

After dreaming about it for a long time, I visited Italy for the fist time this summer. And as expected I fell in love with the country, the food, the atmosphere and it's way of life. Because I found my spark back in Italy, I'm thinking about moving there. Both me and Abel are currently travelling while looking for places on earth that we'd like to live in, and a community. That's why I prefer to find a workaway where we could stay for a longer amount of time, like a month or more. So we can really get a taste of the way of living and culture in the country we're visiting.

Preferably a place where I can take care of animals, and spend time cooking some good (vegan) meals. Some other hobbies and interests of mine are: psychology, yoga and spirituality in general. I'm hoping to find a place where I can share one or more of these intrests with someone, someone that can help me find clarity in this chapter of my life, while I'm helping them out with whatever their life is giving them right now. 🪻💜

Abel:
I started traveling a lot more in fall of 2025 because I wanted to drastically change my life. And I have to say it worked because I am now having experiences I was dreaming about years ago. I am also on another mission: to find community. After having difficulties in finding people and friends in the cultural landscape of the Netherlands I thought I'd try to see how different cultures do it. After philosophizing in it for a long time I now have a little bit better of an idea of what it takes to connect with people.
I think something like an intentional living community is good for me. I need third spaces. And a laid back not so serious atmosphere.

I have hobbies, yes. But sometimes I wonder what it means to have a hobby. Something you do? Think about? Want to do? I'll just list stuff I like.
Cinema. I like something to laugh at, something silly, anything by Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Jason Segel. I dream of one day being a funny actor and writer like them. also movies that make me feel cool, like Baby Driver. Nature, Bushcraft and self sufficiency skills like fishing, hunting, foraging and farming. Crafting stuff, any stuff. Leather stuff, metal stuff, wood stuff.
Hanging out with animals. Mostly dogs but I like all of them.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've spend my whole life with pets (cats and a dog) so taking care of animals is something I love to do. Food and cooking/baking is also a big passion of mine. Almost everything I make is vegan. Ofcourse I can teach Dutch, and I'm always open for a deep talk. I'm also a drummer, so if you happen to have a drum kit sitting in your attic collecting dust, I'm here to teach you some grooves and fills! I don't have a lot of experience in working in a garden, but I'm very open to learn some new skills!
