Hello, dear hosts and Workawayers :)
My name is Ljubica, but you can also call me Violet if you find it easier :)
I am from Serbia, and I work as an online English teacher. Traveling is my passion, and I use my current remote job to travel as much as I can. I travel in different ways, sometimes backpacking, sometimes road tripping, and sometimes volunteering. I try to live a minimalist life, so I am always on a budget. I didn't volunteer as much as I'd like to, as I am a digital nomad. Sometimes I don't have enough time. The volunteering opportunities I am interested in include working with children, animals, and on farms and in nature in general, and sometimes working in hostels.
Working with children: I majored in special rehabilitation and education, and after that, worked as a teacher. I was teaching in China and Serbia, and now I teach online. I was always passionate about kids and have experience with children coming from different cultures and having different abilities.
Working with animals: My love for animals started when I was born, and it came from both of my parents. I grew up with animals. I am also a vegetarian. Currently, I live with three dogs and two cats. Unfortunately, I live in a country with no animal rights, full of stray dogs and cats on the street. All the animals I have at home are saved from the street. Two of them were found when they were 1 day old! That is when I learned how to become a real dog momma and take care of such small puppies. They are now living with me, celebrating three this year! :)
Working on farms and in nature: This is the field I don't have much experience in, but I have a huge interest to learn. This would be the field I would gain so much from my hosts if they shared their knowledge with me. Since I have been working seated for years already, I crave physical work, which I can do in exchange for some knowledge :) My dream is to make my own small, modest house one day instead of buying a fancy apartment. Would like to be surrounded by animals and nature, so any knowledge about that would be so useful!
Working in hostels: I stayed in many hostels all around the world. I love hostel culture! When I don't stay in hostels, I use Couchsurfing and stay with locals, which also means sharing living space with other people. I love making connections, sharing time, and love! I also studied psychotherapy and worked as a therapist for some time, so I would say I have good communication skills. I also find myself a leader, which is good for organizing group activities :) I also worked in the hospitality industry while I was a student, so I don't mind cleaning, making beds, working at the reception, helping guests, etc.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am young but I dedicated my life to children. I hold a bachelor degree in special education and rehabilitation so I have experiance with working with children with disabilities. I have been working as a teacher for four years, I was teaching individuals, groups, online, offline, abroad… I usually teach English but like to share with my students all the knowledge I have, play, and take care of them.
I am a hard worker so there is no job I would find difficult to do.
I am currently attending a psychotherapist course so hopefully I will become a psychotherapist one day so interpersonal and communication skills are also something I can share with others.

Was noch ...

I am very organized but also spontaneous. I like nature and animals (mother of a dog and a cat). I exercise every day and take dance classes. Eating healthy and exercising is a part of my routine. Like books and learning
