I am Lena and have dreamed about travelling through the world for some years now! I have recently finished my Bachelor degree in Social Work in Berlin and can now go on and fulfill this dream of mine! yay! First I want to explore the West of Europe and then I would love to travel through South America, especialy Brazil.
I'd describe myself as very open-minded, empathetic, senstive, creative and always willing to learn or experience something new. I love helping and meeting new people, learning as much as I can on this journey and I also really love spending time with kids or "working" with them, teaching them things as well as learning from them. I think I'm 50:50 intro-/extroverted, depending very much on the situation.
I am currently finishing a one year long training to become a dance/ movement padagogue. I am very passionate about dancing and moving your body and healing through it, as well as all creative methods through which we can heal, grow and learn. I am planning on working in the creative field of social work once I have found my place that feels like home. Teaching and learning through creativity, breaking the often too traditional structures of school education and helping kids and teenagers (and everybody) holistically to live their best lives is a dream of mine I wish to fulfill in the coming years.
I am vegan/vegetarian and interested in sustainability and helping the planet. I love animals and would love to learn more about them since I never had any myself. I have been dancing with a hula hoop for 3 years now and absolutely love it, I could also teach some tricks and movements if interested. I really enjoy yoga, meditation, breathwork and a lot of other spiritual practices. I think it's beneficial to try new things here as well. I love music, I don't play any instruments, but I really like singing with friends in the park etc. I love moving my body and spending time outside, in the water, hiking, whatever. I also really enjoy good food and cooking myself.
Although I really enjoy getting to know people and getting inspired, I also need some time by myself regularly. I enjoy my own company and need this time to reset and ground myself. Because of this, I'd say I am quite independent and uncomplicated as well. I like open and honest communication, so there's no weird or bad vibes. You can always talk to me about anything, as long as we are both kind and respectful with each other.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a 4 years Bachelor degree in Social Work and work experience in this field as well. I have worked in a housing project for mentally disabled adults, as well as with a physically and mentally disabled 19 year old for one year (helping his mother take care of him and their household). I have worked in kindergarten and did an intense 5 month internship in an institution for creative learning for kids and teenagers. I am also currently finishing a one year long training in dance and movement padagogy.
I very much enjoy looking after kids and spending time with them, finding creative ways of learning and exploring nature with them.
I'd also be happy to look after your animals or help on a farm. I only have some experience with dogs, but I am very animal-friendly and would love to learn.
The same goes for gardening. I have helped my mom in her garden multiple times and really enjoy this type of work. I am for sure not some kind of expert and you'd have to explain to me what exactly I'll have to do, but I am a fast learner and very interested. The same goes for small builder jobs around the house: if you can teach me, I am very willing to try and help :)
I love to cook and would therefore totally cook some vegetarian/vegan meals for everybody in the house!
I also know some basic sewing skills and love to paint, draw etc....so if there is any interest, I'd be down as well.
And I dance. I can teach you some hoop tricks if interested.
I am also fluent in English and German (I have lived in England before), so I'd be open for some language exchange as well.
