Beschreibung

I’m Léna, 25 yo, and a funny happy mix of an anthropologist & a waitress born and living in the South West of France. Making of me a very curious person in between a shy adventurous person nevertheless always up to discover new things, thirsty of new places to go to and meeting new people & a contemplative philosopher diving in books as soon as I have a moment.
Always happy to help, I’m a fast-learning person, I adapt quickly. I’m an adept of learning-by-doing.

My last WorkAway experience taught me a lot about myself and life (way more than expected). Being at a turning point in my life right now, wondering what might look like a life that I would enjoy, I’m instinctively coming back to this experience. I am searching new adventures to inspire a life that feels a joy to evolve in, navigate all the possibilities of a life among other lifestyles. And I want to make sure this journey is filled with new amazing people, new skills to learn and places to evolve in.

Italy has always been dancing in my mind. So this is my focus for the end of this year (at least). On one side, I would love to learn & improve my Italian. On an other side, the more I evolve, the more I feel the need to come explore this side of my origines (my great grand-parents were Italian, and this is a subject we often talk about in my family), and what a better way to do it than to come here ?

I live for never ending stories, daily walks, sharing food & learning new recipes as memories to bring back home, gardening, reading & getting lost in books, good old fashioned rock & disco music, sharing deep conversations and life lessons, laughings, building things on my own, climbing & stretching, fresh air from the sea & breathtaking landscapes… simply spending time outside.
I’m equally happy spending time outside with my hands in the ground & inside with a warm cup of tea and a good book.

I truly believe that we have so much to learn by simply sharing.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

The first & only WorkAway I have ever done has been an incredibly enlightening experience. Quebec county, during summertime, I used to work for both a Bed & Breakfast and an organic garlic farm in the countryside (near the Appalaches mountains, Mont Mégantic). Cleaning rooms, doing beds, waitress for breakfast, along side picking up garlic flower, building a small warehouse (woodwork) for storage, sorting & packing for farmers market. I also used to take care of the personal vegetable garden of my hosts.
This experience taught me a lot about my love for gardening, living outside at Nature’s pace, and my abilities to care about a house and welcoming guests during their stay.
Other than that, in general I'm able to homesit, care about gardens, help in DIY’s and cooking, manage a meal service and a welcome/front desk.
