Hello! We are Lara (30) and Duy (31), best friends from the Rhein-Sieg district near Cologne, Germany. This year, we consciously decided to leave our jobs behind in order to travel and gain new experiences.

About Lara:
Hi everyone!
I’m Lara, 30 years old, open-minded, warm-hearted, and I love traveling. This year, I’m excited to start my first Workaway experience, explore new places, and actively contribute to a project.
I have experience in hospitality – working in service and at a bakery – and I really enjoy interacting with people. Growing up in the countryside, I love hands-on work: gardening, caring for animals, and helping out wherever needed come naturally to me.
After several years in an office – most recently as a team leader in e-commerce – I realized I want to work more practically and gain new experiences. I'm reliable, flexible and look forward to being part of a family-like, perhaps even sustainable project.
I speak German (native) and English fluently.

About Duy:
My name is Duy, I’m 31 years old, and I love traveling, meeting new people, and exploring different countries. I’m excited to start my first Workaway experience, help wherever I’m needed, and learn new skills along the way.
I have a Master of Science in Economics and recently worked in e-commerce, but now I want to spend more time doing practical, hands-on work. I have some experience in service at private events and can do basic repairs, including some bike maintenance. I’m always happy to try new tasks and take on different challenges.
I’m calm, reliable, and friendly, and I enjoy creating a positive atmosphere wherever I go. In my free time, I love playing the piano and sharing music and good moments with others. I speak German (native), English, and Vietnamese fluently and look forward to new experiences and cultural exchange.

We share a love for the mountains and enjoy skiing together – even if we’re not experts! Having worked together for several years, we complement each other well and make a reliable, flexible team ready to help wherever needed.
