Beschreibung

I'm finnish middleaged teacher of philosophy and also I'm mom of one 18 years "child". I love to travel, I'm curious to see new places and altought I'm sometimes introvert and nowadays allways solo-travelling, I do like to meet new people!

I have been years in Couchsurfing, both hosting and being hosted. I prefer long travels (month at least, as a teacher I have almost 3 months summer leave) and I have done several interrailtrips with my kid. First was one month 2018 when my kid was 11 years and we used Couchsurfing first time. After Covid we have done interrail trips to France and around there... so I have been every summer after covid at least one month in France (Paris bien sûr, Bretagne, Nantes, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Toulouse, Collioure, Tours, Reims...) I don't fly, but use a ferry to get away from Finland and trains in continental Europe. That is my way to try to live in ecologically sustainable way but I also love the slow travelling... Nowadays I travel alone and I travel to France every summer. For me it's the language and the culture, nature, cities, history, everything. After doing interrails, I read last winter some books telling about experiences of WorkAway and I desided to do that next summer. So I'm new here.

As a person: I'm thinker but also artist. Not much outgoing but I love long and deep discussions. I do urban sketching, I paint and I do handicrafts. Everyone describes me in CS as a kind and friendly host and visitor =) Home in Helsinki I take care of my plants. I can do some carpentry and I'm pratical worker, not the unpractical philospher...

I'm Finnish, so demoracy, human rights and respecting everyones dignity are important values for me. I don't accept anykind of oppression nor the crimes against humanity, I'm seriously worried about the state of the world.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have university education (teacher of philosphy, life stance education, Finnish...)
I have taught Finnish for adults so obviously I can teach you Finnish... but I can also speak English in a simple way if necessary for a person who wants to practice English.

I have spent my summers on summer cottage before I started to travel, so I'm used to do physical work in garden, carry water, cutt trees, warm sauna etc.. I have had cats allmost all of my adult life but other experience of animals are horses (but over 25 years ago..) I have done some carpentry, one year education (long time ago), and some stuff in summer cottage like renowating windows, painting walls etc... So I can help in a house, farm all kidn of things some one shows how to do or says what to do..

I have rised one kid as a single parent.. So I can cook something but that's not my super skill.. I prefer gardening work =)

I draw yes, but I don't know how that can help someone. Basically I'm reasonable adult and I can use basic tools people have in their home and garden.

Yes, I do play board games like Carcassonne, Lost cities..
I take photos allways when traveling and I keep travel journal.
My main hobby is reading, but I do also yoga and long walks, I go to theaters and I knit.
I know allmost everything on trvalling by train in Europe =)
