!I'm looking for a paid Workaway placement from mid-June through September (dates flexible)!
A 29-year-old traveler, I'm leaving my home country of Belgium to explore the Canadian landscape. It was the feeling of freedom I've found on many backpacking trips or in a converted car that fueled my desire to experience something similar over the long term. I like being able to be autonomous and independent, even though I see travel as a way of sharing and meeting new people. I've been described as empathetic, resourceful, and wholehearted. My values ​​regarding animal welfare, human rights, and nature guide my life and travel choices.

Voyageuse de 29 ans, je quitte la Belgique, mon pays d'origine pour découvrir les horizons Canadiens. C'est le sentiment de liberté trouvé dans plusieurs voyages en sac à dos ou en voiture aménagée, que mon envie de vivre une expérience similaire sur le long terme est arrivée et a murie. J'aime pouvoir être autonome et indépendante même si je conçois le voyage à travers le partage et les rencontres. On dit de moi que je suis empathique, débrouillarde et entière. Mes valeurs pour le bien-être animal, les droits humains et la nature me guident dans mes choix de vie et de voyages.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

During my career, I studied to be a specialized educator, which allowed me to work for 6 years with adults with intellectual/physical disabilities and mental health disorders.
In recent years, I trained in canine massage therapy, which aims to improve the well-being of animals; relieve pain, reduce stress, remove tension, etc. This training really allowed me to combine my work with humans and furry friends (or not). I also volunteered for a year in two shelters and was a leader in a scouting unit. My various trips allowed me to see that I know how to bounce back and cope with the unexpected. Apart from that, I enjoy DIY projects, being in nature, and sharing simple things with others!

Durant mon parcours, j'ai réalisé des études comme éducatrice spécialisée ce qui m'a permis d'exercer pendant 6 ans au près d'adultes en situation de handicap intellectuel/physique et troubles psychiques.
Ces dernières années, je me suis formée à la massothérapie canine qui a pour but d'améliorer le bien-être des animaux ; soulager les douleurs, réduire leur stress, enlever des tensions,...
Cette formation m'a vraiment permis d'allier mon travail avec l'humain et les poilus (ou non).
J'ai également été bénévole pendant un an dans deux refuges et été cheffe dans une unité de mouvement de jeunesse.
En dehors de ça, j'aime bricoler, être dans la nature, partager des choses simples!
