Hello :)

I've been living a nomadic life for the past 4 years (not digital nomad) mostly in Canada but also US & Mexico! I love travelling (slow travel) & immersing with the locals, meeting new people, making genuine connections.

I enjoy learning, especially skills, I'm also not afraid to get my hands dirty and will try anything once!

I'd consider myself a seasoned traveller who's outgoing but also needs my alone time, loves the outdoors and nature & has a go with the flow mindset. During my downtime, I enjoy doing arts & crafts and crocheting.

I worked as an intervention worker at a homeless shelter and am passionate about helping and standing up for vulnerable populations, not just human populations but my furry friends too.

I'm wanting to use workaway as a way to slow travel and immerse with the locals, meet new people and help the community I'm in.

-anything related to nature, outdoors activities (hiking, kayaking, camping)
-intersectional environmentalism
-marine wildlife/snorkeling

-learning more primitive skills like herbalism foraging fishing

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've done quite a few work exchanges in the past 4 years. On Canada's west coast doing manual labor jobs like yard work, gardening and housekeeping.

Spent 6 weeks at an "Ashram" doing karma yoga, with my main responsibility being housekeeping and taking care of the animals which I really liked(cats, chickens, pigs, 1 donkey and 1 horse). I took care of feeding twice a day, and cleaning their spaces.

I also spent 3 months last summer in Mexico volunteering at the reception of a women's hostel doing a variety of tasks like check-ins, some cleaning, organizing events which was such a special experience!

I've worked on and off as a housekeeper since 2014 in a variety of settings: airbnbs, private residences, resort/hotel.

I have some experience farming, doing a bit of carpentry and painting through workaways here in my home province of Québec and working on little projects with my dad.

I really enjoy de-cluttering, organizing and decorating spaces and I've had the chance to do that mostly at my mom's place (garage, freezer, basement).

Other skills & experience from previous employment include:
-Caregiver
-Customer service incl. in the restaurant industry (barista, hostess, food runner)
-Non profit/community work (intervention worker)
