Hi beautiful community!

My name is Georgia and I made a decision for myself at the beginning of 2024. I don't want to live a trivial, fixed life anymore. I want to travel, to see the world, to meet new people before I settle permanently in the place where I want to make my basic dream come true.
And this dream is to build my own alternative - backpackers hostel in Greece (my home).

I imagine that to run your own place and to make a hostel work properly is not an easy thing, so I try those years (which I'm going to explore the world), to learn also things about hospitality, housekeeping, serving guests, cooking, managing, to observe, to gain experience, to be ready for my own home~hostel.

I love to be in the nature, in the mountains, to do outboor activities, to hike, to climb, to travell. The past few years I travelled a lot inside my country and I've done a lot of different outdoor activities, but my heart is set on climbing.

Something else about me is that I am very interested in permaculture, food forests, natural buildings, us I am an agronomist who doesn't agree with the formal type of cultivation and how the people dealing with the ground for food prodaction.
I have a university degree in agricuture but permaculture is something that you can't learn at university and I want to learn more about (I have a basic idea but I'm not an expert, for sure).

So, my journey through workaway is on its way!
A lot to learn, but a lot to give too!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I could introduce myself as a super-hero with super skills, but I am definitely not!

I am a very organized, polite and patient person.
I always try to do my best, if I find a reason on it and if I am treated as I should (as a partner, a part of a team).
I use to finish all my daily work first and then to do my hobbies.
I love to be with new people and to learn new things.
I think that in our whole life we make progress in several parts of ourself, we find new things to give us sense and I try not to stop doing this.
I have a drivers license and basic skills in computers (office,internet,photoshop ect).
I love to take pictures in landscape and I try to improove that skill.
I love food, I like to try new dishes and sharing mine.
I definitely can help with garden, flowers, vegetables, I love to work on small fields.

I have worked with tourists as an outdoor instructor (canyoning guide, equipment care-management, reception-cashier ) and with kids as a guide in a botanical garden. My last (preworkaway) job was in a cinema (bar, cleaning, supplies, welcoming people).
As a workawayer, I volunteered in some guesthouses-hostels working as a host, reception, housekeeper, waitress, bar, kitchen. During the last year I managed to work for winter and summer season in hotels as reception and housekeeping.

Was noch ...

I have already mention some of my loves (climbing, hiking, photography) but I have more!
I like to swim us this was my sport when I was a kid, I like to cook and to try new tradicional foods, I love chocolate and all the flavors of tea, but basicaly I try to eat healthy.
I love to stay in the nature with a tent as a free camper. In Greece we have a lot of beautiful beaches and mountains, but I am sure I can discover more in the whole world.
I am always open in new ideas of spending our free time in quality.
I don't like nightlife - clubbing- drinking - crazy things, it's not my type of lifestyle.
