CURRENT MISSION

Immerse myself in Portugal and its culture!

ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Washington in 2025, and I've been escaping the terrible American job market by hopping around the world traveling. Most recently I spent five weeks exploring Taiwan, and now I'm visiting Portugal!

I am French-American, born in Lyon and raised on the West Coast of the USA. I moved around a lot growing up, moving from France to Silicon Valley and San Francisco at three years old, living in Viet Nam for a year, and then returning to the USA and settling down in Seattle. I am fluent in French and English and studied Spanish for five years (I'm super rusty though). I love learning new languages and hope to pick up some Portuguese during my visit this April and May!

I am a poet and love to travel to new places that inspire me to write! I love sitting in nature, interacting with the land and learning about the history of the place I'm in.

PHILOSOPHY

I am all about full immersion and sitting in a country for an extended period of time. I love learning about that culture's rhythm of daily life, culinary practices, customs, and language.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have previously WWOOFed in Japan and Taiwan. I spent two weeks in the Japanese countryside on an organic vegetable farm where I learned how to collect ready-to-pick vegetables, weeding in an organic manner, and even crushing pests by hand. In Taiwan I spent ten days collecting hibiscus flowers to turn into homemade jam and cleaning up rooms at the farmer's homestay. Additionally, I grew up going to a volunteer run ski lodge so I am familiar with many things ranging from driving snowmobiles to carpentry projects. I am also able to cook, clean, and organize.
