Hi we're Catriona and Charlie, from Glasgow Scotland. We spent some time in Andalucia last year and it made us want to explore some more and really get to know the region. We're looking to spend two-three months this winter living and working on the land. It would be great to learn a bit more about permaculture and agro-forestry as well as improve our Spanish but we would be happy to tend your veg patch, muck out your stable or help with any painting or other odd jobs around the house

For the last 9 years Catriona has worked as a self employed gardener in central Scotland. She loves to grow her own fruit and vegetables and to garden in a sustainable manner, working alongside nature with out the use of pesticides and creating habitats for wildlife.

Charlie is an artist and composer and is keen to improve his practical skills as well as to find some time for writing and other creative projects. He also enjoys a lively chat over a glass of wine or two.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Catriona: I studied horticulture at the Botanic gardens in Edinburgh and have been working in the industry ever since, for the past 9 years setting up my own business in central Scotland establishing and maintaining private gardens. I love to cook especially creating vegetarian meals with my own produce from our own allotment or other garden projects I'm working on.
I have some experience with horses having worked as a stable hand as a teenager, however that was some time ago! I'd love the chance to work with horses again and maybe even have a chance to remember some of my riding skills.

Charlie:

I am a musician, artist and organiser and work as a freelance sound designerand composer for the games industry.
I run an improvised music group named Semispecific Ensemble which focuses on experimental collaboration, and organise grassroots gigs, club nights and festivals.
I have also taught numerous classes and workshops on a range of topics relating to sound and am keen to make topics playful and accessible to all.
I love to get stuck in with garden work having learned from Catriona and thoroughly enjoyed shaping our allotment together. With the help of a friend who is a joiner I has recently helped build a number of archways and shelters and while not hugely knowledgeable on my own I really enjoyed the work and would be keen to build on these practical skills.

Was noch ...

We've hit a major turning point in our lives and our dream has become to set up our own space combining self sufficiency, land regeneration and creative practice integrating music into everyday life. We'd love to travel and learn more about how others have gone about similar projects and gain a little experience and inspiration about the practical day to day and what this kind of set up might look like for us.
On our last visit to Andalucía we got the chance to take in some Flamenco which was a wonderful experience and we'd love to learn more about the culture.
