Hello everyone,

We are Maël and Luna, a duo currently based in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Over the past year, we have been travelling and volunteering together, discovering different ways of living, working and sharing everyday life. What started as a desire to step away from big-city life has become a real commitment to more meaningful, human and local experiences.

We are both motivated, reliable and curious, and we enjoy learning by doing, helping out and adapting to new environments.

Maël is calm, attentive and deeply interested in social work. He is currently training to become a specialized educator, and has experience working with middle school students with disabilities, in nurseries, and as a children’s sports instructor. He grew up near Paris and travelled extensively across France and Europe with his family in a van. Today, he is eager to continue exploring France, meeting people and learning from different communities, while developing skills connected to care, education and collective life.

Luna is more extroverted, joyful and curious by nature. With a background in visual arts and contemporary dance, she is currently doing a civic service focused on environmental awareness, social inclusion and education. She enjoys combining creative practices with everyday life and hands-on work. She has previous volunteering experience through Workaway and Woofing, including an eco-village in Italy (permaculture, straw buildings, compost toilets, bees) and a protected geothermal site in New Zealand, where she worked in a café, a shop and site maintenance.

Over the past year, we have shared our first long-term woofing experiences together, which allowed us to build strong teamwork, autonomy and communication. We enjoy manual tasks, outdoor work, community life and simple rhythms. We are not afraid of hard work and we care about doing things properly and respectfully.

What we are looking for now are welcoming places where we can be useful, learn local know-how, take part in daily life, and share moments with others. We are particularly interested in projects related to nature, social initiatives, education, sustainable lifestyles and community-based living.

Nous sommes Maël et Luna, un duo actuellement installé à Clermont-Ferrand. Depuis un an, nous voyageons et faisons du woofing et du volontariat ensemble, à la rencontre de différents lieux, modes de vie et projets. Ce qui était au départ une envie de s’éloigner de la grande ville est devenu un véritable choix de vie, tourné vers des expériences plus humaines, locales et porteuses de sens.

Nous sommes tous les deux motivés, sérieux et curieux, avec l’envie d’apprendre en faisant, de nous rendre utiles et de nous adapter aux besoins des lieux qui nous accueillent.

Maël est calme, attentif et très intéressé par le secteur social. Il est actuellement en formation d’éducateur spécialisé et a déjà travaillé auprès de collégiens en situation de handicap, en crèche, ainsi que comme animateur sportif pour enfants. Il a grandi en banlieue parisienne et a beaucoup voyagé en France et en Europe avec sa famille, notamment en van. Aujourd’hui, il souhaite continuer à découvrir la France, ses paysages et ses habitant·es, tout en développant des compétences liées à l’accompagnement, à l’éducation et à la vie collective.

Luna est de nature plus extravertie, joyeuse et curieuse. Issue d’un parcours en arts plastiques et en danse contemporaine, elle effectue actuellement un service civique autour de l’environnement, de la sensibilisation et de l’insertion sociale. Elle aime mêler pratiques créatives, travail manuel et engagement concret. Elle a déjà plusieurs expériences de woofing et de Workaway, notamment dans un éco-village en Italie (permaculture, constructions en paille, toilettes sèches, abeilles) ainsi que sur un site géothermique protégé en Nouvelle-Zélande, où elle a travaillé au café, à la boutique et à l’entretien du site.

Cette dernière année a été notre première vraie année de woofing ensemble, une expérience fondatrice qui nous a permis de renforcer notre complémentarité, notre autonomie et notre capacité à travailler en équipe. Nous aimons les tâches manuelles, le travail en extérieur, la vie collective et les rythmes simples. Nous n’avons pas peur de nous investir et attachons beaucoup d’importance au respect des personnes et des lieux.

Aujourd’hui, nous cherchons des lieux accueillants où nous pourrons être utiles, apprendre des savoir-faire locaux, participer à la vie quotidienne et partager des moments avec d’autres. Nous sommes particulièrement sensibles aux projets en lien avec la nature, le social, l’éducation, les modes de vie durables et la vie collective.

English Version

Maël works in the social field, he has worked with people ranging from infants to adolescents with disabilities, in the educational and sports fields.
He is also trained in service, particularly in restaurants and bars, so he knows his way around people quite well.

Luna also has quite a bit of experience in social terms, she worked in Paris for the city's museums as a reception and surveillance agent, she has a bit of experience in sales, and her two workaway experiences made it possible to be versatile in the different tasks given during these moments of volunteering. (maintenance, permaculture, public reception, café, etc.)

We love doing things with our hands, doing work like DIY, gardening, building, we are very interested in it and we are not afraid to work hard to help you.


French Version

Maël travaille dans le domaine social, il a travaillé auprès de personnes allant du nourrisson à l'adolescent en situation de handicap, dans le domaine éducatif et sportif.
Il est également formé au service, notamment dans les restaurants et les bars, il connaît donc très bien les gens.

Luna a aussi une bonne expérience sociale, elle a travaillé à Paris pour les musées de la ville comme agent d'accueil et de surveillance, elle a une certaine expérience en vente, et ses deux expériences en workaway lui ont permis d'être polyvalente dans les différentes tâches confiées lors de ces moments de volontariat. (entretien, permaculture, accueil du public, café, etc.)

Nous aimons faire des choses de nos mains, faire des travaux comme le bricolage, le jardinage, la construction, cela nous intéresse beaucoup et nous n'avons pas peur de travailler dur pour vous aider.
