Hello
We are Asta & Valdemar, two good friends looking for a workaway experience this summer.
As two positive minded, easygoing and active young people from Copenhagen, we are interested in gaining new inspiring experiences through a cultural exchange.

We are both versatile and open-minded individuals who enjoy working with a variety of tasks —whether they’re familiar or bring new challenges. We’re happy to contribute in many different areas, such as:

Asta:
With a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, I have a solid understanding of plants and how to shape outdoor spaces. I’m currently pursuing a master’s in Digital Design, where I focus on how people interact with technology and the ways we can thoughtfully and sustainably design for those relationships.
Furthermore, I have several years of hands-on experience in childcare, primarily in daycare settings. I value the connections built through play and presence, approached with warmth, openness, and care.
Creatively, I enjoy working with ceramics and textiles, and I love spending time in the kitchen—especially baking with sourdough and cooking hearty, seasonal meals to be shared with others.

Valdemar:
Im 28 years old and currently studying teaching I Copenhagen.
I love fixing stuff and doing practical/physical labor, I often find it very meditative, especially the repetitive work (although im probably not unique with that opinion). Im interested in learning more when it comes to gardening, building, growing and all the other handy “ing”s. That put together with the opportunity to experience, explore and learn more about a foreign culture, is why Im looking for a Workaway opportunity.
I work part time as a cook at a cafe and love to spend time on cooking a lovely meal, especially if there is more people to share the food with. Other interests include outdoor life, i have spent a couple of years studying this and generally enjoy spending time in the nature, wether its cooking, hiking, camping and so on.
